A 1 piece disc is just like you have now on your car. It's a solid iron disc. A 2 piece disc is an aluminum hub bolted to an iron disc ring. It will have curved vanes to help cool the rotor and is less prone to distortion and warping and will overall provide better braking performance as well as significantly reducing the weight.

The caliper is a 4 piston caliper like the Brembo caliper. The caliper on the 04-08 TL Base A/T has a 1 piston caliper. This caliper will have better clamping capacity and more equal dispersion of brake force.

josh, please compare my rotora 1 pc bbk (s/d) with the wilwood 2pc 4 piston.

my rotora's still aren't installed and i would like to know how much weight savings i would get from the wilwood?

i'd imagine brake feel would be about the same?

ok, let me rephrase: do you think it's worth the hassle for me to sell my rotora 1 pc bbk in favor of the wilwood 2pc 4 piston kit?

They use Hawk pads which are easily obtainable.

No I can get red or blue for an extra $150. We can get a 6 piston. $1625 shipped to the cont US. I didn't put it on the webstore b/c I thought it would be a bit overkill.

Stock wheels won’t clear. Will need at least a 1.5” spacer to clear.

Do they have a spec sheet or scaled drawing that show the dimensions of the 6 piston kit??? Similar to the one you had for the Rotora's 4 Piston Kit...

17” wheels with minimum of 1.75” of space from back of spokes to the wheel hub surface. Inner wheel diameter should be at least 14.5” where spokes meet rim…

This setup is for the 1 piston caliper TL's, not the Brembos. You can use just slotted rotors/performance pads on the rear.

Is it IMPOSSIBLE to fit an7 17" wheel over these? I'd really be interested at this price, but I have to run winter wheels.

17" wheels will clear the BBK but that doesn't mean the caliper will clear the spokes of the wheel. This is a pretty wide setup and will likely require a thick spacer.

Hmm, so how much of a spacer do you think? I really dont care because it will only be for winter. I have 03 CLS wheels, with the stock 55mm offset. Do you think a 1/2" spacer would do it? That would make the wheels ~ +40mm offset which is fine, heck even a 3/4" spacer would be ~ 38mm offset, which is ok by me too, just as long as the wheel doesnt look ghetto.

So that'd be like a +35mm offset. I wonder if the stock wheels would stick out at all......

yea, they are smaller than 330mm (13").. i think they are like 310mm ?? should be 12.2 inches

the Wilwood 12.6" = 320mm

that really is an OUTRAGEOUS price for a BBK for the 3G TL..

Would the 2-piece 13" fit on a +40 offset wheel? I also found these http://fastbrakes.com/shop/product_i...oducts_id=1967, so would these fit stock CL-S wheels without a spacer???

I have a 06 base and I was curious as to what do you use for the rear? Does Wilwood offer a rear bbk kit? If not, what other options are there? Also, the offset on my rims are +43, what size spacers would I need to run these brakes? Thanks for the help!
