CP-E Xcel Intake for the Acura RDX!!!
This is an Acurazine Special Pricing Event for CP-E Xcel Intake for the RDX. If you are interested in any other Custom Performance Engineering product please PM me. Here is some info on the intake:
cp-e™ has a long history of making some of the finest cold air intakes available, and we’re pleased to release our Xcel™ air intake for the Acura RDX!
The engine in the Acura RDX is the first Honda motor to feature forced induction, and is also one of the first Honda motors to feature a mass air meter. Although these substantial changes have thrown some aftermarket manufacturers for a loop, we capitalized on these changes and applied our highly successful tuning techniques to this new platform. And boy did it pay off! How does a gain of 19 horsepower to the wheels sound?
Like the rest of our Xcel air intake product line, we machine the RDX Xcel™ intake mass air meter housing from aluminum blanks to tolerances of +/- 0.002" (about the width of a human hair). Despite the accuracy of this machining step, the vast majority of our competitors do not machine their housings because it costs more then simply swedging a pipe to form the mass air sensor housing. We however make no compromises, and as a result our intakes are quite unique and highly effective.
The improvement gained from our air intake isn't limited just to performance. Removing the intricate baffling in the intake tract allows the end-user to hear all of the wonderful sounds that come from a properly turbocharged engine. You can hear the bypass valve operation, and you can finally hear the turbo spooling too! And of course, replacing all of that cheap black plastic with a high quality powder-coated really adds a "trick" look to the engine bay.

They come in the finish shown above, which is black powdercoat. I can probably special order a polished one for you if you wanted one that way but it would take some time. $285 shipped to the cont US and it takes about 5 bus days via ground shipping to CA. Keep in mind the holiday will take away some time and UPS will not be picking up ground packages on Wed-Fri.

Looking for CPE Xcel intake for my recently purchased 2008 Acura RDX
Hi, I'm looking for an intake for my RDX so far I've heard the CPE is the best but $298 is a little much. Anyone know of anyone selling a used one or if it possible to get one cheaper? Thanks.

@Excelerate,
Apologies, I need to change my email settings as I wasn't aware you responded to this thread. Did you mean to write $289 shipped to Canada and $269 to cont US like you have in past threads? Or is it $289 to both Canada and US now?

Hello XLR8 folks- I'm sourcing a CAI for the wife's '08 RDX and the CP-E seems/appears to be better than the K&N (plz correct me if I'm wrong).
I'm hoping this is an okay place to ask these questions:
What's the difference between DFlow and SynoiID? Is DFlow dry flow? I prefer an intake that doesn't require service. Is the Pre-Filter option one of those thin net things? How necessary to we think that is?
Read: I'm a long-time modder and am well aware that certain intakes work better with certain cars. Is the CP-E truly the one to have for RDX?
Anyone have input on K&N vs CP-E sound? Is one or both obnoxiously loud?
Thx in advance...any input helps!
