Comptech Supercharger Kit Groupbuy: TL 04+, CL/TL

This is a Groupbuy for the Comptech Supercharger Kit for the 3rd Generation TL (04+), the 2nd Generation TL-S (02-03), CL-S A/T (01-03), CL Type S M/T (03), and TSX A/T and M/T (04). If you are interested in any other Comptech product please PM me.

Shipping times will depend upon your location. Comptech does have these in stock. Prices based on shipping to 48 continental states in the U.S.

The following payment terms are accepted: Bank or Teller Check, Money Order, sent to:

Excelerate LLC
998 West Main St
Branford, CT 06405

You may also send payment to Excelerate@sbcglobal.net via Paypal. However, if you pay through Paypal you must add 3% to the transaction.

****Comptech has raised their prices on the charges. No, MSRP has not changed but the discount structure has changed and the chargers now cost dealers more. However, I am going to do a genuine Groupbuy on these to keep the prices down. I need a combination of 5 orders to make this happen, TL, CL, or TSX (it doesn't matter).****

Applications are taken straight from Comptech's website. The prices will run as follows:

Acura TL 04+
- Comptech Supercharger Kit - PM me for prices

Acura CL Type S 01-03 A/T Acura TL Type S 02-03 A/T
- Comptech Supercharger Kit - PM me for prices

Sorry, had some additional concerns on your policy and tried to edit the previous post, but the time limit expired...

???

A $1975 deposit is non-refundable? So if we send in the deposit and then cancel the order (before paying the 2nd half installment, before the order is shipped), you're keeping the full deposit plus 25% restocking fee (a total of $2962.50)?

What if someone returns the S/C unopened (after paying the deposit and then the 2nd half installment). Are you keeping the deposit plus a 25% restocking fee (a total of $2962.50)?

How can you justify charging a $987.50 restocking fee?

When is the balance due?

to the above... those policies will force people only who are serious about buying. excelerate is very easy to work with, i've dealt with him online and over the phone. i'm sure many others here can back him up, and i think his policies are justified and being a businessman myself, i can understand the reasoning behind it.

In this case if a customer were to give me a 50% deposit and then change their mind the only fee they would have to pay is the 25% re-stocking fee. I would not keep their 50% deposit plus a re-stocking fee. The reason for the re-stocking fee in this case is that I am going to order kits based on who gives me a deposit. So if you change your mind half way through I can't call up Comptech and ask them to stop shipment or for a refund without being charged a re-stocking fee. So I would have to cover my costs b/c of their re-stocking fee and therefore I would have to charge the 25% re-stocking fee.

However, the re-stocking fee may be less than even the 25% if I deem the circumstances merit a lesser re-stocking fee and I am able to turn over the product without incurring any sort of pecuniary loss.

The balance would be due when Comptech delivers the S/C kits to me. Once full payment is received then I can ship the S/C kit to the consumer.

To be perfectly honest the standard for this industry is a 20-25% re-stocking fee. And most companies won't allow you to even return an item like a Supercharger b/c it is a special order and usually they require 100% of the payment up front. I also said that the re-stocking fee may be less than even the 25% if I deem the circumstances merit a lesser re-stocking fee and I am able to turn over the product without incurring any sort of pecuniary loss.

Ok guys, I have removed the 50% deposit to encourage the sales of these S/C Kits. It is only a $500 deposit. And the chargers are ready to ship ASAP. They are in stock and ready to ship.

Are these shipped directly from Comptech, or do they make a stop in CT first?

Any update on the ship date for the TSX application?

Great pricing!

These will be shipped from Comptech directly. The TSX kit is supposed to be shipping later this month, early next month.

Someone somewhere may have already answered these questions but i would like to know the following:

1. Does the $3950.00 include tax?

2. Where do I get this thing installed in So. Cal?

3. What is the cost on installation?

4. What is the warranty on a S/C?

5. Would installing this affect the manufacturer's warranty?

1. Yes that includes tax.

2. You will have to check with your local shops of installation or you can call Comptech.

3. Depends on the shop and their labor rate. Comptech lists install time of 8 hours +/-.

4. Here is a link to Comptech's warranty page: http://comptechusa.com/miscPDFs/Warranty-Page.pdf

5. That I do not know. It is up to the dealer.

Comptech now includes M/T and A/T on the same part #. So it will be the same price as the M/T one.

I was quoted $800 at a local shop in San Gabriel, CA. They are one of comptech's official vendors.

They were changed. Look at the first post. They were lowered $100 on the TL/CL kits and $50 on the TSX kit.

Post Comptech Info

The 3rd Gen Super Charger Kit (Hopefully the pic stays because I can never get the damn thing to stay. I'm slow with the whole hosting site thing, ha)

60 wheel hp for automatic/approx. 65 manual transmission.
69 pounds torque.

1. Comptech's Supercharger Page For the 3rd Gen TL

2. Details On The Supercharger

3. Dyno Graphs

4. Interstate battery you MUST purchase to fit the supercharger. Smaller in size but better in quality over the stock battery.

5. Picture Of Entire Kit (If the above pic doesn't stay up)
