hey TSexx try searching "DVD navi conversion" or others keywords like it to find threads about this product. As far as your questions, the pnp unit is and additionally priced piece that saves you from having to solder the 6 wires you need to use in order to create a bypass in your stock navi unit. this unit is for use only in STOCK navi cars and is used to have the ability to play DVD's on your navi screen.

As far as the back-up cam check out Dom's website, he sells an entire kit in order to use the unit to its fullest advantage. meaning it comes with a DVD player and backup camera.
p.s. if u are new to soldering and/or are unsure of what you are doing, i HIGHLY recommend u get the pnp kit. ii u don't wanna pony the money, theres plenty of people on this forum that can help you out.

I noticed on your site that your system now works with the Cadillac XLR, would it be possible to hook the non-pnp into the Cadillac SRX? They have the same touch-screen navigation display with buttons on both the sides?

It already plays DVD's through the display, but I wanted to add another video source for a backup camera.
