Hi, I need these rotors and pads immediately. Just to double check, for $145, I would get 4 drilled and slotted rotors (2 front, 2 rear) and 4 ceramic pads correct? If I make the payment of 145shipped, how long will it take for it to get to Arlington Heights, Illinois? All 4 of my rotors and pads need to be replaced right away. Please let me know ASAP. Thanks!

P.S - I will PM you as well so that I make sure you get the message by today (6/28). I appreciate the prompt response in advance. Thanks again!

Byron

I recently had my rotors and pads installed (04 TL 5AT) and had some issues with the rear ones.

First the pads were a bit thick and so they rubbed. I removed them and installed the OEM ones. Now I'm getting a weird rattling noise when the brakes are applied. It sounds almost like a card in the spokes of a bicycle. Upon inspection, nothing seems to be wrong and I cannot see what could be making the noise.

I took the car to a shop and they just suggested I use them for a month to see if it goes away. It doesn't seem to affect the brakes (which otherwise work great), but it doesn't sound good at all.

Any ideas what this could be?

Typically with a drilled and slotted rotor, the clicking noise ( card in a spoke ) is quite normal. Every time the pad rides over the slot, you will hear the click. After the break in period, the noise will start to subside.

Thanks for the great service. I just put them in tonight and went through your break in suggestions. Am I all set to go and drive normally now or should I take it easy for some time?

Anyways, so far so good. Prompt service and great prices.

Definitely keeping these in mind...I was thinking about getting Racing Brake stuff, but it's like $145 PER rotor (x2) then $95 for FRONT pads only...then I'd have to still worry about rear brakes. + I don't go to the track.

alright so i thought i'd give my review/experience with my recent order from brakemotive.

ordered 2 front/2 rear drilled slotted rotors with pads all the way around for my 2007 acura tl type-s. OEM's were original and had about 46k on them, so i felt that it was time to change them.

ordered on a monday, delivered on thursday. fast shipping and good communication. so far so good.

install was straightforward. a buddy and i followed some DIY instructions on the forum, and knocked out the job in about 2 1/2 hours. we also bled the calipers/master cylinder and repaced with motul 5.1 fluid.

ok onto the review. after the install, i went for a drive to bed in the new pads. followed the instructions that came with them...5 moderate to aggressive stops from 45mph to 5mph without letting the brakes cool. i then did the same thing from 25mph to 5mph with less aggressive stops allowing them to cool in between stops. that's it.

i drove around a bit more afterwards just to make sure everything felt right. it does. pads bite hard, no noise, no squealing, no nothing. very smooth. i could not be happier with my purchase. they do exactly what they're expected to do and look great behind the wheels.

i would recommend these to anyone looking to replace their current setup.

here are some pics from the install.

I just did the same with my 04 TSX. Been meaning to take some pics, but I have been way to busy.

Great service, great quality, and a nice bite. It's been about 2 weeks now and so far they perform great. Hard to beat this deal!

Do you have an slotted F & R Rotors (w/ pads) for a 2002 TL-P or only those with holes? If so, what is the cost?

Thanks.
