I will be coming with another TL and meeting up with 5-7 cars from Simpsonville, SC(bmw m3, VW GTI, possible Vette, few others) so it should be decent

sorry to do this to you guys, but blokhead and I are going to have to cancel as well. We just found out today that our oldest daughter has a riding competition the morning of the 24th. If it weren't for that, we'd be there. Hope everyone that is still going has a great time and stays safe.

'Tail of the Dragon' claims 5th victim
Associated Press
Posted: Wednesday, Oct. 07, 2009
Robbinsville -- The "Tail of the Dragon" - a curvy stretch of U.S. 129 that crosses the Tenn.-N.C. border - has claimed its fifth victim this year.
Jesse Matthew Tremaine, 49, died Saturday from injuries in an Aug. 13 motorcycle accident.
Trooper James Dalton said Tremaine entered a curve known as "Gravity Cavity" too fast, landed face down and never regained consciousness. He died at a hospice in Knoxville.
The 11-mile, 318-curve Dragon attracts motorcycle riders from around the world.
Although most of the road is in Tennessee, two North Carolina counties are negotiating over which will have responsibility for medical emergencies on the route.

some like it stock
most of the deaths on the dragon are motorcycle related, although there are plenty of opportunities to wreck your car. there are spots where you can't see a semi and they come out of nowhere. the bikers will warn you if they know one is coming, but you pretty much need to pay 100% attention at all times. some people don't stay in their lanes and there are some couple decreasing radius turns that can catch you by surprise...
i might be able to come up for a few runs that weekend, just don't know for sure at this point.

mountains runs are def things you CANNOT take lightly! if you want to go aand you feel comfortable with your ablitlies and think you can own this bitch than you def need to check yourself and slow your roll lol i HIGHLY beleive this is why people get into trouble....when you get ahead of yourself and are not paying full attention to the road
shit i turn the radio off and my windows open so i can pay attention to sounds of other vehicles and devote my undivided attention to it!
