The cobra would be bad ass. Although I had a GT behind me and I lost him on the corners, he would catch me on the little straights, if it was long enough, but he couldn't hold a match to the TL on the corners. The mustang was bone stock though.

ive been to the tail of the dragon in an S2K a few times that was a blast!

it was a lot of fun in my type-S. i got there early and went southbound, barely any traffic, no cops. i was able to go through really fast.

Don't think anyone has mentioned it but the TOD was thick with State Police on the day I was there. They were mostly TN State Police. They are worst at the north end of the TOD where it straightens out and there is a 35MPH Speed Limit. Everyone is so relieved to see a straight stretch that they get on the go-pedal and then Smokey gets on them!

Yeah, on the weekends the TN state police have have been patrolling the crap out of it. When I went I talked to some of the guys at the booths and they stated that they mostly patrol it on weekends, and on rare occasions weekdays...

you guy should stay in Townsend and take Foothills over to the dragon. it adds about 15-20 minutes driving on some nice roads.

if you look at the map im right off 411 which connects to 360 which i beleive is the dragon

i beleive its 360,165,143,129,72 that make up the dragon...correct me if im wrong

GATLINBURG (WATE) -- An eight mile section of the Little River Road in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park remains closed due to a rock slide that happened last week.

The road is closed between the Elkmont Campground and the Metcalf Bottoms Picnic Area.

Officials say loose debris kept falling on the road this weekend although crews worked to stabilize the slope.

Drivers who want to travel between the park's Gatlinburg Entrance and Cades Cove or Townsend must detour to Pigeon Forge on U.S. 441 north, then on U.S. 321 south into Townsend and then back into the park on TN 73 to reach the park's Laurel Creek Road to Cades Cove.

The rockslide is about two miles west of the Elkmont Campground junction.

Visitors can still reach Elkmont Campground by the Gatlinburg entrance.

Also, Metcalf Bottoms and the eight miles of Little River Road from the picnic area to the Townsend junction are still accessible from Highway 321 in Wears Valley by Line Springs Road or from the Townsend end.

Due to bridge load restrictions, no vehicles larger than passenger vans are allowed to enter the park by Line Springs Road.

Traffic between Gatlinburg and Cherokee, North Carolina isn't affected.
