Smile Headlight clearing and restoration meet in Georgia???

I've been playing around with the idea of clearing my headlights but still not ready to make that "Solo" leap. I can't decide which route I wanna go paint scheme wise. Also, the thought of cracking open a perfectly good pair of headlights makes me a little nervous about F-ing it up...

Soooo, I was thinking to myself, "Self, why not get a group of novice and experienced headlight bakers together from around the area and do a bunch of headlights all at the same time". That way we could bounce ideas and experiences off each other and create some really cool headlights... It would cut down on time, mistakes, and paint/mod costs. We could have a little assembly line going so anyone who shows up (and works) gets their lights redone and restored. I'm sure we'll have a camera or two on hand to document our little shop meet... I'm volunteering my house, oven, beer, etc. in Sugar Hill or my buddy's house in Alpharetta (he doesn't know it yet ). Any takers?

Headlight clearing is VERY easy.... Take headlight out of car put in oven at 250 degrees with a damp towel and for 15 min and pull apart. The hardest part is making sure they seal COMPLETELY!!! I am from the West side of ATL

Well, can the two of you be bribed with beer/food to share your knowledge with the rest of the class? :-)

Even sky diving is easy when you've done it a million times but it's that first jump that you want to make sure you're doing it correctly...

I'd be down if I was in GA. I'm about to try it in a few weeks.

What sealant did you use and where did you get it? Can you get it anywhere locally?

I'm Down

I want to clear out my headlights as well. I have always been scared to do it myself.

I've been thinking about blacking out my headlights for some time but not ready to do it by myself either.
