Calling All Car Enthusiasts: 9:00 A.M. on Sunday 2/9@Markham Park
Hey all,
Been a few months...it's about that time to get together.
I'm counting on Austin (dyingdreams), Jonathan (orientalspecs) and Marcel (poorman69) to be there...that's 2 very talented photographers
I've selected Markham park for a few reasons:
a)I love it
b)It's big
c)There are no major events booked there that day according to their calendar
d)It's easy to get to
e)It's pretty
f)It's fkn awesome
g)It's got mountain bike trails
h)It's got a shooting range
i)It's got fixed bbq's
j)It's got a big long winding road along the back to the driving range we could safely use for rollers, or SR84 for faster rollers
k)It's fkn awesome
l)All of the above
L, final answer, Alex.

Everyone has a phone and google maps, I'm sure you either know where it is, or can figure out how to find it. If not, please feel free to post a new "what oil should I use and what should my taste in wheels and car color be" thread.
I normally leave it open ended, but I'm starting it early this time to allow for the "Miami" time people to show up. As some of you know, these meets get together early, and generally disband by 2pm so if you want to talk cars and meet some really cool people, set your alarms and only polish off HALF the bottle of Jim Beam the night before.
Lunch, Food, and Drink...
Bring what YOU plan to consume/eat/drink. Obviously, there's always extra but plan ahead with ice and whatnot, I will bring Charcoal. I will commit to getting there early and snagging a cool spot, probably in the grass somewhere near one of the more scenic lakefronts with a bbq and some picnic tables. Plan will be to stay at Markham for the whole meet this time. We'll have our own food and ability to go do rolling shots. No burnouts or fishtails please (mostly for me)...we don't want to get kicked out.
I probably won't bring my biscuit burner to go let off a few rounds, but feel free to. Plan is to set up our area as home base and then go do whatever you feel like doing. I'm contemplating bringing my Mountain bike, if anyone would care to join for a quick ride...I'll warn you, there are some pretty intense rides (but I'm out of practice...)
See you all there!
Jeremy

Sorry, Marcel, I have a bad memory! Plus, I already counted you in since I KNOW you want some nice new shots.
John, we may do another little mini meet when you're down, so you can meet the crew...just figured you wouldn't want to dedicate a whole 1/2 or full day to a car meet when you're only in town for 2.5 days. If you think it's something you'd really want to be a part of, I can check with a moderator about changing the date though.

LOL...I was wondering how long it would take for you to get pissed about the joke. Puhlease...I'm the first one to cut the meet short due to family obligations! I just so HAPPENED to have stayed 30 minutes longer than you that particular meet.

I've been doing some minor touches to the car. It looks and drives really great. I wish I could bring it out.

Doesn't really matter what time I say, you always text me 2 hours later than I post it anyway saying you are too tired to make it. I'll set up at 9am, I expect you there at 10am. Sacrifices...it's how the world works!
