Automotive Addicts Meet

On Saturday, August 11th. It's been a while since we've had an Acurazine meet, so lets meet up at Automotive Addicts in Jacksonville, FL. It's been a while since I've gone, and I miss it a little. It's the same venue and site as the old Cars and Coffee meet every second Saturday of the month.

Come join up with Mike and I and we'll have some fun (and try to stay cool at the same time)!

Dang to bad ill be out of town I would love to see some of these cars in person.

 

^^^ Perhaps you can attend next months meet. This is every 2nd Saturday of the month.

 

Hopefully. I should have my tranny swapped by then and possibly a motor swap as well.

 

Today I was driving down Oak Leaf when a CBP TL-S Pulled out in front of me. I was traviling at a good rate of speed, however the CBP wasnt so when the car int eh fast lane got over I proceeded to try and pass. Well I guess the CBP wanted in that lane so now that person switched lanes. Being in the slow lane I speed up to pass him so I can go on my merry way when the CBP now speeds up to prevent me from passing. What a prick. I slowed down laid on the horn and got behind him. Mr CBP TL-S Now slams on the brakes and matches the slower cars speed to prevent from letting me pass.

It was a CBP TL-S with a gator plate, looked like the A-Spec lip kit and the ugliest STi looking mud flaps.

Anyone know this person?

Needless to say I am pretty upset.

 

Dude, I am so freakin' sorry. That was my 22 year old cousin. He borrowed my car to go get some food from Gators Dockside. He said he saw a black TL coming up behind him fast and tailgated him when he pulled onto Oakleak Plantation Blvd. He said he got mad that you tailgated him.

I talked with him and told him if that ever happens again, just let it go. It's not worth it.

Again, I apologize for his behavior man. Needless to say, he's never borrowing my car again.

Well I can't make it. I'll be there next month. Car didn't make it out the shop in time.

This fucking lady in a van swerved across 3 lanes of traffic because she was about to miss her turn and ended up hitting me in my quarter panel. She says she didn't see me. The car is fixed but just got completely repainted yesterday. So their still doing the finishing touches on the car. I bought a rear diffuser so they still have to install that. I'll make sure to be there next month.

 

Sorry to hear that man! That sucks. You didn't have to pay your deductible did you?

 

I think Ill be getting there around 9:30 tomorrow since I need to wash my car in the morning before I make the drive up. Its been neglected for a few weeks.

 

I won't be able to make it tomorrow. Something serious came up with my son that I have to handle.

 

Well, it was good to see everyone who was able to make it out today. Was able to put some faces with names on here. Can't wait until the next meet.

Also, I'll try to have the pictures posted that I took no later than tomorrow.

That sucks man. The guy that owned my buddies nsx said the reason he went with a loud exhaust was so people near him on the road could hear that he was near. The nsx is really low to the ground and I can imagine being in a larger vehicle and not even seeing it in the side view mirror.
