Yea the thought has constantly been on mine of getting something else and I was hoping modding it would help me in wanting to keep it. No real reason to sell it, but I want something newer and a little more plush! The seats in the TL kill my back to!

 

wow really? I loved my TL seats... spend 10 min in the M3 and you'll be dying. What are you thinking about stepping into?

 

Sometimes I have to turn the heated seats on because I find them to be that uncomfortable. I'm looking for an 07+ GS350.... I did go by Acura yesterday and checked out the '12 TL's. Very impressed with them but it still isn't as pleasing to the eyes as our 3G TL's....

 

GS is pimpin for sure, although I really think I like the TL more. the new TL is "eh" on the outside but damn nice on the inside. Didn't you pick up an IS300 or something? Or was that your friend?

 

Haha...yes I picked up a solar yellow IS300 a few weeks ago. It drives much nicer than my TL. Its quiet with no rattles. Granite its bone stock I'm still impressed for it being an 01.

 

That's a nice ride. I am starting to look for another ride as well. I am keeping the CL for a while. I think I want a RWD to build next. I would like a car that can be easily modded with some type of 4 or 6 cyl.... Any Ideas?

 

Thanks man! I was looking at an integra before I got the IS. Hmm....I dont know if only having 2 seats is a deal killer but have you thought about the older MR2's or 300ZX's? I'm sure you can find some nicer ones for like $4K. Of course the colors below are optional

 

MR2... droool. Something good to mod thats RWD... you could always do an E46 BMW, or anything with a 2JZ-GE motor in it works well (like the IS300). I used to have an 00 328Ci with a vortech blower on it, which was a ton of fun and they're super cheap these days.

 

My next car will definitely be rear wheel drive with a manual.

What about an S2000? They should be fairly cheap now.

 

There was a guy in SC that was selling his built AP1 S2K for $5500 but needed an engine rebuild. S2K would definitely be slick............in yellow!

Well I officially posted the TL for sale on Autotrader and Cars.com this evening. I'll be in Lawrenceville this weekend visiting some family and maybe stopping by "a dealership" to see what's out there....

Haha....I will check that out. Ive considered BMWs but the maintenance is what scares me. I know a few people that sold their Bimmers because of on going issues like dash LEDs burning out, power accs stop working, charging system problems, etc.

 

yeah. I mean, lemme tell you it's expensive. I think on the M3 the biggest thing that surprises people if you have to use a specific oil, 6 quarts, and its like $12 a quart. However just drive one and you'll understand. There's something special about it. Besides, you're big money with the IS300 and TL. You can afford it

 

$12 A QUART x 6 QUARTS = $100 million!!! (My math is a little weak.)

She does look clean! I just really want a 4 door car to replace the TL. I just got word this week my assignment to Columbus, ga has been deleted. I'll be leaving for el paso, tx this summer so I'll probably end up getting rid of the IS also.

Harty....har....har! I have an old army buddy that's in Del Rio, TX and is a car salesman now. There is an 09 SH-AWD TL w/ 32K miles w/out Navi on some aftermarket 20's for $26.9K. He said its been at the dealership for over 2 months because cars "like these" dont sell. He said the same thing, "people buy trucks here." Haha....no truck for me though!

Yea man, I'm majorly BUMMED about it, but I guess I'm use to it now. Just got to make the best of it.

 

i am so glad i bought a rear wheel drive car...like night and day..sure my Lex Luthor doesn't handle like a car on lowered suspension, but damn that power can be felt pushing the car from the rear wheels. I am getting my 20x10 rear staggers tomorrow..hopefully..wheels are here just waiting on the 275/35 Continental DWS's...

 

It was FAR from stock.... It Revved like a chain saw. Had a sound that was KILLER. He beat me by about a car in what I would say was a 1/8th. I have played with another one since and walked off and left it.... I think I just found a highly modded one and got a little surprise. lol
