to my charlotte peoples:

i've officially left the honda/acura family (for the time being)

the s2000 was stolen right from the driveway (whilst i was in charlotte for 24hrs about a month ago)

i replaced it with the ultimate beater that's conducive to my rock climbing/hiking/camping/backpacking lifestyle = 2001 subaru forester

i've been on some craaazy roadtrips as of late, so i picked her up cheap to basically live out of (already been to yosemite national park, ca and foster falls, tn. heading to steele, al and foster falls again this weekend. coloroado, ky, nc, shenandoah and pennsylvania all within the next few weeks!

i'm not done modding yet though. did a FULL TUNE UP/maintenance, new tint, head unit, alarm, speakers, and custom intake, hi flow cat, and exhaust.

Does anyone have an extra set of stockies I could borrow for a week or two. I'm finally having the A-Specs powdercoated next month and I need something to have the car sit on while they are getting done. I'll be on Fall Break and I'm going north for the whole week so the stockies won't be driven on too much. Plus I'll get an alignment so I don't chew up your tires.

Well, this has to be a record in anyone trying to sell a car with 215,000 miles on it.....SOLD IT SOLD IT SOLD IT! I had the car up on Craigs list and within an hour I had a call and we talked....He called back later and we talked some more and then he gave me a deposit. I am on my way up to Martinsville, VA tomorrow for work and he wants to check the car out so it works out. He was going to drive to me today so I saved him a trip. He is picking it up this weekend and I take delivery of my new car Saturday.

Jim everything was sold with the car. I know they got a good deal with the amount of aftermarket parts were put on the car. The system (amps, sub, EQ, etc is being sold in parts) Want to buy a sub Jim?

Anyways yeah the car in ATL was prob not a great deal, price was great but who knows what the car has been thru. I have a appointment to test drive something this Saturday at Hendrick Acura. Couldn't find a Manual for shit. Color is the same as my old car. Decided on this dealer for a lil peace of mind . Im not telling u guys what I'm getting yet. Its more fun that way haha. Lets jus say I'm still keeping it Acura...

30-45 minutes, depending on where in Charlotte you're talking about.

Charlotte winters are cold, in my opinion, and being from FL, you'll find them quite cold. But compared to up north, it's nothing. We might get a couple of inches of snow every few years. Think of it as a free day off school/work with the ability to go and do whatever you want. This is the piedmont (where we are). The mountains get pretty cold and get a good bit of snow, while the coast stays more mild and rarely ever sees snow.

Like you, I'm from Florida. I moved to Cary from Orlando when I was 9. The winters get pretty brisk and it takes a while to get used to, but overall they aren't that bad.

So I was test driving a car that I was really intrested in, and how about the salesman gets a call from the office and says the car is being sold to a guy back at the dealer. Ugh what da fuck? Car was silver, now they trying to get me into a black one. Also trying to get a lip kit thrown into the deal. Oh and the black car has aspec wheels, or I can swap out for Type S wheels. My update lol.

The same thing happened to me. I was about to sign papers on another TL and they stopped me from signing them cause they just sold the same car. I told them that that wasn't fair to me especially since I was ready to buy it and sign the papers. But then they promised me that they would get me whatever car I wanted even if the didn't have it on the lot. They did. They bought a black/black 6spd from an auction just for me. It took a month to get it down and certified, but it was worth the wait.

Since they did the same thing to you, you should ask them if they can just find a car for you at an auction just the way you want it. The color interior/exterior you want. Navi or not. 6spd or not. You shouldn't even have to promise to buy it, but still show alot of interest. Especially if it's exactly the way you want it. They have people that look at auctions all the time so finding YOUR car shouldn't be a problem. Good luck!
