So there is some talking going on between myself and a buddy from Kentucky about a meet up in Knoxville Tennessee for me to buy his old wheels. Still a little far out, financially, for me to be 100% ready. I still have a month of bill to pay this month.

It would be a day trip. Sunday September 28th. Its about a 4-4.5 Hour Drive depending on where you live in Charlotte.

He has about 4-5 other TL's caravaning down for the day with him.

We will be meeting at a Bar/Grill Spot right on the Tennessee River. Meet up around 1pm, chit chat, hang out and socialize until about 4 or 5, then ride back home.

I talked to Tyler earlier about it and the details are being worked out. I wasn't sure if anyone here would want to Caravan up and meet some other TL owners.

Let me know if anyone wants to tag along! I wont have any room in my car because I will be carrying my stock wheels back home. 19's with tires wont fit in the car, so they are going on the car. However, it could be arranged for someone to ride along if another person comes and takes one of my wheels and puts it in their trunk...

I was going to say there are only a couple of options, but when I thought about it, there are actually quite a few (10 maybe?). A far cry from the TL. I got the gloss black OEM grille. It's body color for me. I like body color painted OEM grilles (Dodge sells a primed one), and the Danko grille. I'd have gotten the Danko, but I don't like it on black .

Yeeeah, so about that grille...


Turns out even after a bunch of research and indirectly verifying that the one I was going to order was gloss black and not black chrome, it was black chrome . I guess technically the sticker on it says "high gloss black", but still, it's black chrome. Needless to say, I wasn't particularly happy on Friday. Since the grille is fairly easy to swap out, I figured I'd at least check it out before I sent it back (was going to be in the garage anyway). Surprisingly, I really like it...maybe even more so than if I had gotten the one I had originally wanted. It's not too often I fuck up and I'm happy about it...I feel like Bob Ross .


Now I just need to get the holes in the truck patched. I pulled the spoiler last weekend, but didn't have time this past week to get quotes due to work. Somehow I foresee this dragging out .


The other thing I learned yesterday was that Dodge hired an angry gorilla to install oil filters on Chargers. I swear I've never fought that much to get an oil filter off.

Where are the preferred places to get tint for an '07 type-s in Charlotte (closer to downtown)? I went by tint world and got a quote for ~$400 for their 3rd level package (2nd from top) and a UV layer on the front.

I don't want too dark, something close to the "OEM" tint is perfect. The black interior and the 25 minute drive home with the afternoon sun is tough! thanks!

I'm not sure how it happened, but some pressure built up in her elbow, causing her hand to go numb. She's in a sling for the next 10 days.

I wanted to attend the meet but I forgot that we had made plans for a cookout with some friends. I was there in spirit

I can't recommend a shop, however, just make sure you get 35% tint. To pass NC inspection, the glass and tint can't read under 32.0%, so 35% tint is perfect.
