For football that would be sports bars like Wild Wing Cafe, Buffalo Wild Wings, Duckworths, or Taco Mac all have a million TVs.

I am good with any of them. I will wait and see if Eric or Jack want to chime in as well.

Ok well I am going to rule out Buffalo Wild Wings and Wild Wing Cafe as they are both in uptown near the Epicenter and NASCAR Museum. So I will say my vote is for Duckworth's.

Do you guys want me to explain why I haven't posted in CCColtsicehockey's Return of the OG thread and why I am thoroughly dissapointed?

Your disappointed because my car was not color changed to white during he rebuild and that we have not made the superchargers whine around Uptown Charlotte.

Nice. The good old pink wheels. I still have those too. They may become track wheels for next year. I have to see which weigh less. The 18x8 CE28 or my 17x7.5 TE37. I know it is very close.

They apparently are very close. Guess it will decide on tire cost and what size tires I want to run sidewall height wise.
17x7.5 TE37 - 15lbs
18x8 CE28 - 14.7lbs

With all the secrets and the long wait I thought we were gonna end up with something like this WRX. Custom paint, fenders flares, roll cage, tucked bay, wider wheels...something...anything! But helllll no, all we got was a different front bumper. I'm so shocked by the small difference in appearance between november 2010 and november 2012. I even looked at the photos we took that day before you ran into the deer and realized that I, myself, had done quite a bit to my TL. I am completely shocked by this 24 month wait. Please mount a different set of wheels and post pics of the spoon bumper and some video clips in that thread so I can be more satisfied. You made a comment that you go big or go home. Well unfortunately for you, I have a different meaning of 'go big'. This orange WRX is FEMALE owned and I have a whole different idea when it comes to people going big or going home.

I was hoping Jason was going to switch up the color but not to white. White is clean but still bland.
Custom dark teal ftw

The orange one and this red one are both cover cars. Do you understand what you have not done in order to land on the cover? You need to get rid of all your wheels and send your car to the paint booth. ALL of your wheels. Get wider wheels and add some flares.

This thread is a good way to see how a change in color really excites people and gets them going. We are all anxious to find out what Aaron's TL is going to look like.
The proper way to come back from a vehicular disaster is a color change. End of story.

For one I don't have the budget to do everything I did plus all the more you speak of. Some of what you mentioned was planned for the car but it went over budget so they had to be axed from this upgrade. The main concern was to switch to a 6MT and upgrade the supercharger. I promise you the car is very different when it runs. I mean lets see I went from 220hp to 348hp and 185ftlbs tq to 254ftlbs tq. Pretty sure that is a very large change.
For one no color change happened because I love the Carbon Grey Pearl color and I built the car for myself so I kept it the color I love. Yes on the exterior the car did not change much with nothing but a new front bumper except the fact I actually have two front bumpers I can switch between.
I also love the wheels and although they are technically old they were only on the car for 10 days before the accident. 10 whole days. I also changed up the entire exhaust and header but hey that isn't visual stuff either and since you probably didn't take time to look at my thread you wouldn't have known that either.
I also upgraded the hood to a double sided carbon version which is the only one that has been made.
Just cause you don't see a lot of change on the outside compared to an old picture sure as hell does not mean a lot of change has not happened. Maybe you should go back and read the thread before passing judgement.
Sorry the car didn't meet your expectations for the time table. The car was not even worked on till March 2012 so the rebuild was actually rather fast. Parts from Japan were not ordered till March 2011 and they did not all finally arrive till Nov 2011. I hadn't even found a donor car till November 2011 either. There were many headaches as well throughout the build but hey they are all document in my build thread. You don't like so be it. Hate the car for all I really care. I have been friends with plenty of people in the past with cars I don't agree with but if you can't live with that is your choice.
There will be more phases of the car as it will never die but this is where it is now and I am enjoying having it back.
Not sure why I have bothered typing this all though as I don't really need to explain myself to you cause I built the car for "ME" and myself and not to please anyone else. Oh and I can also promise you that zero corners were cut either. I just don't do that.
PS: I have a set of wheels that hasn't been on the car that I could put on if I wanted too as well but I chose not too for now.

Whats up with RDX owners?
iTrader: (9)
Let me get this straight, you guys are butt-hurt because he didnt build his car the way you wanted?
I can't speak for Jason, but while getting on a magazine cover is cool, no one should tailor a build for that specific reason. What does it get you? I'd much rather have a 120whp jump in power then a new "cool" color and some fender flares.
*This is not a personal swipe at anyone either*

I hope I didn't sound like I was bashing your car Jason
I know you're a baller so I figured you would change the color while the car was under the knife. I still love your car regardless and I look forward to seeing it on Saturday

Well my butt is not hurt, but my mind is. It's a total mind fuck for me.
Jason i know and everyone knows you LOVE CGP.
But you will NEVER know how much you might love your car if you went and had it changed to a custom color. You might love it twice as much. I've been looking at that car since 2004. I was hoping it would come back a different color. There is no such thing as a budget for you. You have things that can be liquidated.
The reason I am in this mind fuck is because of how secretive he was about the entire car. I thought something grand was going to be revealed.

I have always been secretive with what I have done with the car. That is nothing new.
Regardless of this though I hope you come out to the meet it should be fun.

I remember the night before you left to go run into that deer, you had 5 bullet points of modifications I need to do to my TL.
Number one: spacers
Number two: have the interior panels done correctly with fabric
Number three: get the TL properly tuned
Number 4: ? can't remember
Number 5: ? can't remember
Perhaps you can help refresh my memory. I do remember you had 5 individual things i needed to do to my car. Or perhaps you don't remember telling me these things at all because of tragic accident that happened moments after you said this.

Black vinyl roof and repair your seat brackets since you only have two bolts holding in the seats.
I see you have done one of my suggestions. That is fine though because it is your car and not my car. I am not seeing your point here though. I also recall you asking for suggestion of what else you should do to your car.

I can't really talk here because eye haz know monee BUT...
Eric I would get your front bumper repainted just to get rid of the rock chips and fix the opening around tow hook since it doesn't have clean cuts. The tune/ECU for the 3G TL is hit or miss; either people love it or sell it after a few months. The spacers really help the wheels look even more fawking dope. I miss your black roof and I miss your blacked-out headlights

Ah yes, thank you. I couldn't remember the last two.
I studied these two photos and realized that I had done quite a few mods since then.
Emblem delete
Sticker change
Roof diffuser
Roof rack
Gutter side splitters
Rear diffuser swap
Window Tint
Reinstalled APR mirrors
Headlight film delete
Password JDM fender fasteners installed
15mm spacers
ARC passenger side winglet delete-unplanned
I feel like I should have kept my mods secret until now. Or would that have been lame?

I miss the emblem.
No stickers ftw.
Diffuser fits in well with the car's theme.
Side splitters are sexy.
Tint is hawt.
Mirrors are a good thing
Spacers ftw.
Need to find another ARC winglet.
No secrets unless it's something huge

I've got some plans for the TL. How about I just straight hide the car for 730 days and then I will make a thread showing you what I did?
