Alright, I figured if anyone would have a recommendation in/around Charlotte... it would be you guys. I'm looking for a good vinyl guy/shop. Looking to get some vinyl on the FJ, and thought the best place to start looking would be here.

So.... any recommendations?

Can't help ya, JB.

Didn't you have a wrap on your Ice Cream Truck? Who did that? Is that even the kind of thing you're looking for?

^ We did. My neighbor who owned a print shop printed it, and him and I put it on in the garage over some beers. He sold the business, so no longer an option. Gonna just have to find a vinyl shop locally...

I didn't get to bed until just before 4:00, either. Got up at 9:00. I could've stayed up if I had had to ...just like you could've gone back to bed. One day you'll write your macro and "work" from home like most people who "work" from home.

Oh, I saw an ad this morning for a one-of-a-kind Camaro with 555hp for $60k . It had some gaudy kit on it making it look like a white batmobile (from the Keaton era). "Hendrick Camaro". Let me see if I can a pic...

Most definitely.

Be careful with that wheel on your way to Atlanta tomorrow. You might even consider driving on an OEM and just put that one on for the show.

So after having lunch with my dad I had the afternoon to kill...figured I'd test drive a couple of cars. Epic failure. The Ford dealer had a bunch of Mustang GT's...all 6MT except for the one convertible. Really? Not ONE auto coupe available? Even the take rate for manual 911's before PDK was only 50%. I seriously doubt the take rate for manual Mustang's is higher than that. So off to the Dodge dealer...which was nowhere to be found. Really? I have to drive across town now to find a Dodge dealer? I can understand one BMW, Audi, and Acura dealership, but one Dodge? Overall, a very disappointing day.

Probably a good thing you didn't drive one of the 6mt's, apparently they just randomly won't go in to gear and/or pop out of gear. There is a nice class action lawsuit against Ford now for the safety issue of this happening while driving down the freeway. Ford apparently sourced the tranny's from China, so any and all cost savings are soon to be negated.

I still want a Boss 302 Laguna Seca though

When travelling north on Rea road and getting on 485 West, you loop around and pass back under Rea road. It's almost like a short tunnel.

Today, I was behind a Shelby Cobra GT500. The sound as he punched it, crossing under Rea road, was .... GLORIOUS.

Yeah that would suck. I know you hate the window on the 370z but have you at least tried driving one as I heard they are fun but I wouldn't get one without a 6MT. How about a 335i?

Next car will be an American V8. I like the Z, but it's styling isn't lasting, in my opinion; I'd get tired of it over time. Plus, no manuals...can't drive one, don't want to drive one, and even if I could or would, I have knee and calf problems that when they flare up make driving an auto painful. I wouldn't be able to drive a manual, thus potentially leaving me stranded somewhere...not an option.

I love tunnels/underpasses. My car sounds good, but nothing like a Mustang

Tyler, j-pipe is yours...but I doubt you'll still have the TL by the time I get a new car.

Well, the other Ford dealers are a bit of a drive, but have Dodge dealers nearby, so it would be more convenient to check them out versus the one near the house (big picture). Was just trying to kill some time yesterday. I have no doubt I'll get to drive what I want to drive. I'll probably check online for the inventory of the other two Ford dealers prior to going to one so I don't waste a trip.

Depending on when you are going let me know I would love to go check out the new Mustang as well just to ride in one. I definitely like the new front end as long as you get one with the single headlights and full center mesh grill. The large lights in the middle grill are

Mooresville has a Auto GT Vert and Statesville has I believe 1 Auto as well. They all have at least 6 MT at each dealer. Crazy.

Hi everyone,

I haven't been to this topic discussion in a long time, mainly because of pharmacy school. I'm about to finish pharmacy school so I wanted to put on the A-spec lip kit before I drive my car back to California. Type Steve -O- from Florida was so kind to let go of his kit to me for a cheap price. I would like to put this kit on my car by May 13th but don't have the necessary experience to actually put one on, let alone the tools. Hence, I am look for some help and would gladly compensate your efforts. I would really appreciate some help if you can spare the time. Sundays are best for me since I work so much as a future pharmacist @ Costco. I am also free May 1st to May 7th. If anyone is free during those days to help me put on this kit, please let me know via PM or on this discussion. Thank you so much.

Ok, had a little better luck today. Drove a Mustang (vert, even though the website said they had a coupe it had been sold) and a Charger (no V8 Challengers ...seems I wasn't going to be able to totally win).

The Mustang felt sluggish. Just cruising around it was nice, but there was a good bit of hesitation if you stomped on it. I know it's not slow, but it seemed like it was. The interior was nice, and the blindspot mirrors were awesome. As with any car, I'd need to take it on a better test drive than the BS route they make you take, but I still walked away a little disappointed. It did sound good, though...too quiet for me, but pretty good for stock.

The Charger was impressive. Only once did I feel like I was piloting a land yacht, and I probably would've felt the same with the TL in the same situation. It seemed faster than the Mustang. I know, it has less power and weighs considerably more, but that's how it felt. There was very little to almost no hesitation when stomped on, whether going from a stop or while driving (goes from 4 to 8 cylinders being used), respectively. The interior was nice, and the guages/display were really well done. It had a HUGE nav screen, and the back up camera displayed lines to show where the car was going within the picture...very cool (and helpful). I still pretty much backed up by turning around and looking out of habit, but I'm sure I'd get accustomed to using a camera. It had better visibility than the TL (smaller c-pillar), too.

As you can tell, I really liked the Charger. As such, it makes me want to drive the Challenger even more. The Mustang's not out of it, but it's definitely dropped a bit. Like I said before, though, I would need to take a real drive of all of them before making a final decision. Ideally I would drive them on the roads I drive all the time and am familiar with so I could drive them as I normally would; it's hard to put a car through the paces on unfamiliar roads since you don't know what is around the corner (potholes, sharp turns, light, cops, etc.) or how to take the corner (ie. how it drives).

Pretty sure I read on the Mustang forums the other day that some of the Mustangs are electronically limited for break in purposes until they reach a certain mileage.
