I have to ask you florida guys 2 questions sorry that it has nothing to do with the meet... My mom is moving down to florida from NJ next month and I want to register and insure my car down there. About how much would it be for a 21 year old with a pretty clean driving record to insure an 09 altima 4 cyl down there? I am at about 1800 a year in NJ (ouch). also, do I need to have my car physically in florida to register and insure it?
secondly, how are the tint laws in florida and what are the fines like? I want to get 5% all around and 50% on the windshield. I most likely wont have my car in florida too often since Id probably fly down there when i visit, but when I do have it over there I dont want to get bothered. (my mom will be moving to st augustine by the way if that helps).

Tint laws in florida are 35% MAX for the front 2 windows, anything for the rear of the car, no tint on the windshield.
i disagree with a lil bit cheaper man. I know that theft rate is really bad in NJ but when i moved from cali to FL. my insurance went up 30 bucks more. a month. they told me that there are alot uninsured motorist in FL.(im thinking cali has more uninsured motorist in cali) im sure at his age it will be more.
i live in st lucie county ins is not to bad i pay 113 for full cover ins and on the tint law i was told 25% on the front 15% on the back and the winshield the strip has to be 25% and above the ansi mark
For all the South Florida guys on here:
Just to let you know my Uncle has a shop in Pompano called "Hot Rod Garage". He does excellent work and has the best prices if anyone needs repair. I just drove down there yesterday to fix my A/C. Let him know Justin sent you if you call up there and he might hook you up a little bit.
