Hey guys, I'm a part of the USC Auto Club and we're having an auto show on campus for the first time ever I think.

Gonna be awesome!!

April 28th from 10am-2pm. Save the date!!

I think we're able to fit roughly 60-70 cars on campus, and we're handpicking all the cars. Designating a certain amount to Alumni/Students, but we're trying to reach outside to the community as well.

Also if you guys know anyone with some nice cars, something more along the lines of rare, have them sign up! And tell your friends! When we get our official poster I'll post it here so it will have all the details. Still working on planning it and dealing with all the logistics with the school.

haha funny... the school is making us pay to have security there, which is stupid as we are paying for DPS (USC's police force) to be there when they should be patrolling anyway.

USC imo feels a lot safer then UCR. I was there for undergrad, i got chased around near campus in my car and it took 30 minutes for some officer to come there. And by that time the dude had just stopped following me.

If that was here I'm sure there would have been some police force whether it be DPS or LAPD to me in a matter of minutes. They're everywhere.

 

Im just fucking with you...its fine during the day. I go to the Natural History Museum with my kids...even take the Expo line to get there.

 

Interesting...my cousin is right around the corner. I might try to go.

You probably have...I don't drive it a whole lot...but its hard to miss a black challenger with purple stripes!

Its a great area, we love it here.

 

I'd say you've probably seen my car, but considering it's basically stock, it's just one of probably 300 AM TL's in a 3 mile radius that look exactly the same. haha

Odd, I never thought UCR was that scary. My friends and I would walk to Santana's, Denny's, and 7-11 past midnight. We used to live in Sterling Apts.

 

WOW Sarlacc! you've must've bought it when the prices were low. I'm in culver and was looking for a place in playa since i have a bunch of friends that live there. HOLY MOLY the prices went up a lot (well the vacant ones)!

 

You have to be quick on the draw. My wife and I found a really good deal in our complex (Bank owned foreclosure). The condo was barely on the market 7 days before our offer was accepted. I still follow the market on RedFin out of curiousity and ANYTHING under $600K doesn't stay on the market for more than 2 weeks. It's especially hot with Marina del Rey coming up, tons of tech companies moving in, and the Phase 2 development scheduled to be completed next year.

 

Dang, I wouldn't even dare to walk to Santana's past 8. I went once with a friend at 1130, there were some shady people in that parking lot.

All the crime now is on Linden and Rustin

Plus Jabertos is so much better than santanas but not open 24.

Anyway there is a lot more theft and such at UCR than at USC I believe. Although I was there for 4 years and I havent even been here for one year.


This school is annoying us with the autoshow... they are saying for the participants cars that if they dont have a permit they need to pay $10 for a pass... stupid. I hope we find some way to cover some of these costs.

 

My wife is a teacher and we were able to get a deal on new construction because of that.

Prices here were never low!

 

Hey so unfortunately this event has been cancelled for this semester. We're going to try to do it fall now. With the school bringing up a lot of last minute things to us and we're not able to get things done because of them we are just going to plan it for the fall semester.

If a mod comes across this, if you can add to the title that it has been cancelled for now that would be great. Or if you can update the first post with this info.
