...as I was lucky enough to meet one of Riverside County's finest Deputies. I got an unsafe lane change citation for what he says was cutting someone off (or passing someone with just a car length between us too).

At least he was very polite and cut me a break on the speed, since he said I wasnt being reckless about it and was with the flow of traffic. Even he had nothing but great things to say about the TL and knew that I could outbreak most cars on the road.

Regardless, is this lawyer/attorney worthy, or is online traffic school worth it (as he mentioned)? What other options do I have? Any clue on how much the fine is?

this isnt worth an attorney unless you know one who will do it for free. otherwise he's going to charge you 100/hour and you'll need a huge ticket to make it worth your while.

 

The only people who generally need and use attorneys are those that truly can't afford an extra 1 or 2 points on their license (ambulance drivers, taxi drivers, etc.)

The attorney will end up costing you close to $1000, whereas traffic school would cost you less than $400 total. I have no idea how much the bail (fine) amount is on your ticket, but it should be in that general area.

Now, if you're like me, you won't want to pay a penny. Go online, request an extension. Then, when it's close to your court date, go online and reserve the latest arraignment date possible.

Go to court and plead not guilty, once again ask the court to give you the latest trial date, and don't forget to ask to be released on your own recognizance. If the judge grants you that, that means you won't need to pay any bail at that moment (You will end up paying if you're found guilty, though).

The key is to just keep postponing, postponing, postponing. Hope that you're trial date is around a major holiday...and if the cop doesn't show up, poof there's goes your ticket.

 

Wow nice tip, ima save it for whenever i'll need it. Though the bad thing is all the major holidays already passed, the rest of the holidays are memorials/easter

 

Just do the traffic school. I think Riverside even allows you to do it online!

i would just do traffic school i would only get an attorney if i felt i have been wrongly accused.
