SoCal Acurazine/T.S.Xclub BBQ Potluck - Rowland Heights Park/Saturday, June 30, 2012
UPDATED FRIDAY, JUNE 29, 2012
Hey guys, as promised.. I would set up a meet/BBQ potluck. I'm thinking we should try the BBQ potluck again since last time, it was a fail (not enough interest/people going). This is just a planning thread that will later be official after everything is figured out.
I think the ideal month for the BBQ potluck would be in the month of June, towards the end of the month since that's when most people are done with school. Feel free to chime in as I cannot cater to everyone's availability.
As for location, I'm thinking of trying something different and having it down in the OC area. Possibly the same spot that the [T S X club] guys had their last big meet/bbq at last time (Garden Grove Park).
So, lets gather up some opinions and have the list going!

Saturday, June 23 or Saturday, June 30 would be good dates... right after school finals are done.
If we have it at Garden Grove Park when school is out and we want the pavilion (shelters would be a little on the small side for our group, IMO), we'll probably need to reserve it ($120/day according to Danny), otherwise it's first come first serve.
Anyone know what the rate of usage/demand is for the pavilion during summer? $120/day seems kinda high, so I don't think many people would reserve it more than 1 day out. What we can do again is check every few days to see if it's been reserved or not, and then either reserve it the day before or chance it and just have someone get there super early and hold it.
If someone beats us to reservation of Garden Grove park pavilion, we can always have it at Thomas Burton Park. That was another good place.

Thomas Burton was first come first serve.
i waited there at 5:30~ by myself and still was beaten there by some mom's who was planning babies burfday...
don't want that shit again. lmao
reserve the spot at GG. I am willing to donate some money to help pay for the reservation..
and TBP doesn't have real shade.. lol.. but i do love the seclusion away from streets.

Garvey Ranch Park seem like a nice place.
Oh, and I spot Eric. Looks like 3 good sized shelters in back of Eric's car?

i'm down for garvey! the parking lot is a good size, but if other events are happening it might get crowded. We can organize a softball, kickball or basketball game if ppl are down.
I'll pitch in for meat and bring somethin on the side as well
should we make of list of stuff needed and have everyone just pick from it and/or bring whatever they want? Is that easier? lol

you mean the one that's $7 just to park?
F that.
If 20 cars show up, that's $140. I'd rather spend that money on food.
