Shops to install parts in SoCal
I didn't really see a thread for this so I'll begin it here. I'll post up what shops I've used, how much they charged, and whether I'd recommend them again. Anybody feel free to add to or revise this as necessary.
Honcura
561 Vine St
Glendale, CA 91204
(818) 243-1989
Had a Fujita intake installed for $40.
Had an underdrive pulley with belt installed for $60.
Both times Stan worked quickly and knowledgeably, his prices were good, and I was never worried about him messing anything up. I'd definitely recommend him. This is not a huge full-scale shop, but rather an older Asian man working in a modest garage on cars that he seems to know a lot about.
F1 Motorsport
11032 Magnolia Blvd.
North Hollywood, CA 91601
818-755-9800
They installed my springs for $150.
Two months later, installed my Koni shocks for $150.
Both times they were slow, damaged my car (scratched interior plastics), and did NOT torque to factory specs. I found out the last part after finally installing my suspension on my own and discovering just how many corners they had cut which could've led to catastrophic failure. I would NOT recommend them. Yes they are the cheapest, but there is definitely a reason for that. This is more of a full-scale shop, and I don't mean to sound racist when I say this, but a bunch of Mexicans were working on my car in addition to maybe one or two Asian guys.

この道は毛むくじゃらのマンコだらけ..
F1 Motorsport... sounds familiar.... quite a lot of old crappy C class Mercedes driving pricks there? Full scale shop... they do body work for insurance right?? If it is I think I know what you're talking about.

Installed Tein H-Techs: $100
Instaled Tein SS Coilovers: $120
This was back in the days when they were located on Harbor...They have moved their store since then and I am not sure if the price was raised. I decided to uninstall the Tein SS myself and I got a closer inspection of their work, everything was good and was neatly put back together with no shortcuts. Install time took 2hours which was not bad for a shop.
TWS (The Wheel Supply)
975 Fairway Dr
Walnut, CA 91789
"Rolled" my fenders: $40 per fender
Well I don't know what is up with them, my brother had his fenders rolled a total of 2 times on different days. Both times they used a roller, they even cut and glued the fender very neatly. Charged him $40 per panel. When I went they got out their hammer and banged away for 4 seconds saying they can't roll it anymore and it's rolled to the max already, asked for $40 after that. I guess if you don't have a Benz, BMW, Audi, Porsche, etc you get the hammer?

The best Honda/Acura shop I've ever found (and I've tried shops not only in SoCal but also in Vegas and in NC):
Auto Wave (Honda/Acura)
17122 Gothard St (at Warner)
Huntington Beach, CA
autowaveinc.com
I've been going there 8 years, and they got over 250,000 miles out of my Integra. Now they also take first-rate care of my TL. They specialize in the NSX, and the shop's full of them. Honest guys there. If I ever have to move to LA, I will still drive down to HB to let them work on my car. So nice not having to rely on a dealership shop!

Three Wheelin'
iTrader: (3)
SiRlerity Motorsports
15182 Weststate St
Westminster, CA 92683
(714) 891-0500
When I crashed they changed my rack, core, and pinion for 500. Changed my cv bal joint for 80, and oil changes 10. Overall real nice guys, work is kinda slow because they're usually packed with customers but once they work on your car, it'll be done real quick. They will give fat discounts if you know them, so most of my work is done with them because I know some of them personally.
