Registration Sticker Ticket

So, I got a ticket for not having the registration sticker. I did pay for it on time but never got the sticker in the mail. Then I completely forgot about it.

Now that I have the sticker put on and ready to go to court to get it inspected. It's just 25 bucks fix it ticket, so I'm all good. I'm planning to go to the court tomorrow.

But I had a question for you guys. I actually got another ticket from the parking enforcement people for the same crap right after I got the ticket from the cop.

Do you guys think I can talk to the inspector at the court to waive that ticket by the parking enforcement? If I'll have to pay it anyway, I was thinking of just paying it off right now online. It's 25 bucks too.

Thanks guys.

If you got a 2nd ticket for the same thing on or before the date of your initial ticket, show proof at court. I assume they will waive it. Unless the city is poor and decided not to waive you.

Double jeopardy isn't it? Can't get you for the same thing twice I think.
Bring it to court and you should be good!

i did ask about this to sheriff when i was getting the car inspected, and he said it's two different ticket because one was issued by CHP and the other is from the parking enforcement

i just said okay. cops are scary. LOL

Yep the cop was right if the tickets are from 2 different departments then it cannot be waived not only that but even if its from the same department but a later time they can still give you the violation and not waive it because technically your still breaking the law at least that's how they see it.

If you fought both of them, you would've gotten it waived and payed the "admin" fee of $10/each, or $20 total. But, it's only $30 more and nothing on your record. No big deal.

Yeah, it's all done!

I really don't have much free time to go to court anyway at least for parking tickets.
