Recommended Dealer (near SGV)

Anyone have input as to which dealer is the most reliable around the SGV area? Obviously the nearest is Sierra Acura but I've heard nightmare stories from that place. Tustin was great to me but its a little far off. I need some warranty work done so any input is appreciated. Thanks

I've been okay with Sierra. They took care of me when I had a creak from the front that would not go away (they were able to solve it). If you decide to go to Sierra, ask for Oscar (service advisor) - great guy.

I go to Sierra too for Warranty work. My service advisor is Andy. I think he's the best service advisor I've dealt with over there, IMO.

You could also try Glendale. I don't know the name over there, but it's mentioned on this forum. My first and only experience there was very quick and painless. The one in Glendale was more flexible with loaner car depending on the service. In my case, power steering hose recall.

I used to go to Sierra until I modifed my car. They banned me since my car was too low for there lift LOL. No but seriously they do a good job there. Just that my car can't make it there LOL. I just go to my friend's shop and do the maintenance there.

Sierra's not that bad, but I have heard of some shady stories over there. I guess it really depends on who's your service writer. The guys at Thomas Acura in Covina are absolutely useless.

If we can inquire, what kind of warranty work are you having done?

mostly rattles around the cabin. they've been driving me crazy for 5 months now. other things include checking motor mounts and brakes which are vibrating a little when braking on the freeway. i'm pretty sure there's more things that i need to fix but i can't think of it off the top of my head. what else is generally covered by the warranty haha. i wanted to get it all done before i started modding.

Right on. I plan on bringing mine in to get some rattles looked at. The moonroof cover and what seems like the driver and passenger side mirrors (the triangular piece of plastic, not the mirror itself). And it seems like the dash just above the vent is coming unglued...?

Any day now, I expect the "A" emblem to fall off and see "KIA" in its place.

LMAO! Hilarious. I know how it is man, feels like my car is falling apart. Speaking of mirrors, my passenger side mirror needs service as well. Doesn't tilt smoothly when shifting into "R" .

Sierra Acura has been great to me, like others have said Andy is great. Whenever I go there he's the guy I'm looking for to help me.

alright just to keep this thread updated. i called in yesterday and spoke with andy. seems pretty good, i told him you guys recommended me there and he told me "if he can hear [the rattle], they can fix it". sounds pretty good to me, just gonna wait for the results. on a side note, does sierra provide a complementary car wash and do i say yes or no to that?

Always say no to dealer car washes.

+1 on the no car wash. Be sure to specify that with the service advisor.

Alright, so just as an update for anyone who cares. Andy is most definitely the guy to ask for when going to Sierra. Great service, very professional, kept me posted on what they did and did not do all around the car, even hooked up a 09 TSX loner for my dad (I'm under 25). As for the rattles, most were taken care of, but I can still hear some, so I'll make sure to take a drive with the tech when I bring it in for brake service (warped rotors). As for everything else, side mirrors, weather stripping etc, all were taken care of. Overall, pretty much hassle-free. If you're looking to take your car for service at Sierra, ask for Andy and tell him AcuraZine recommended you.

When you had your TL? You sold it?

I'm surprised the cars in the stealership lot aren't more scratched, since I usually see a porter washing cars in the mornings.

I do detailing work for a couple of dealers by me. After I'm done polishing, I teach them the proper way to wash it to prevent any future scratching or swirling.
