Recommendations for alignment shop in OC area

Sup guys,

I was wondering if there are any recommendations for alignment in socal?

SOme shop in norcal did a piss poor job on my alignment while I was up there and my camber bolt came loose right after the alignment. Now, my inner tire wear is balding really bad because of the fucked up toe/camber combo due to the loose camber bolt i'm assuming.

I need a shop that can adjust camber and fix my toe. Which shop do you guys recommend?

Thanks in advance,

Bests,

Donald

Hey Donald, just get a lifetime one from Firestone. I've had it for years. It's worth it, and they've never messed up my alignment. I'm dropped w/o a camber kit, and my tires wear even.

hey scott, do they do really low cars? I'm planning to go all the way down in the fronts.

I heard they weren't mod-friendly either...

Firestone used to be mod-friendly, but not anymore. They won't sell you a lifetime alignment if they see that you're lowered.

One manager told me that they won't even sell it to cars that "look" like they might be modified in the future.

I took my car to firestone, I'm slammed too, don't know about the mod thing, but he did offer me lifetime warranty. This was the one on Magnolia and Warner though.

Donald, if you want to go to the one I go to, LMK. They'll hook you up. My car's low, and it's never been an issue with me.

X2... I've gone to the same Firestone...

Donald, your car will have clearance on the way up their rack. Backing up will be a problem. I've had my Tein SS on max drop, getting off the rack was a PITA... Right side sidekirt came off. I don't get a good vibe from Frank @ the front desk but, if you do decide to go there, have Humberto work on your car. A++ mech and really nice quiet fellow. haha

Thanks for the responses guys! I guess I will look into the firestone then. What's the number to firestone?

And by any chance do they have an alignment machine that is built on the ground?(under the ground) I remember seeing one in North Carolina.

Nope. You have to go on a lift.

Here's the info:

6011 Orangethorpe Ave
Buena Park, CA 90620
(714) 670-7912

All you had to do was look it up on the internet, Donald.

Stop being so lazy.

How far off the ground are you from the front bumper? I'm real close to the ground and they still got me up the lift somehow, I told them to use books or blocks lol. Also they do know how to work with camber kits so if you have one then great.

When I had MrHeelToe install my Teins, I went to an alignment shop he recommended located in Mission Viejo. Great service and they don't mind lowered cars. If I recall correctly, it was $79 to align both front and back.

I can't remember the name of the place anymore. PM MrHeelToe

talked to mr. frank kim and he wasn't too nice about it.

Then his mechanic Mike came and said he can do it.. Thank god he did. They got it up there but my front lip still scraped a little bit on the ramp. Sideskirts barely made it up there.

THe bolt seems to have tighten and I just decided to go with the lifetime. I guess I'll start coming here for an alignment from here on out. I heard Humberto's name, but he was out for lunch or something like that.

So far so good, let's see how these tires are going to hold.

I've been going through tires like no tomorrow. I need to order new 19's already and possibly 17's as well.... =(

Good thing is the camber bolt doesn't have the "loose" sound...

THanks again for all the help guys! Really appreciate your time and the responses. =)

hey byrun, are you still running maxed out on the teins?

If so, do you ever hear and loud cluck everytime you go over a little pot hole or whene/ver you go over a small missing piece of pavement on the freeway/roads??? I always hear a loud CLUNK noise.. I feel as if my camber kit is hitting the frame where the top hats touch..

but, I raised my car a little less than an inch. Surprisingly, the top bolt on the camber kit bangs more than it did when it was slammed. Mine also clunks whenever I steer the steering wheel all the way to the left/right.

Hmm, that's weird.. I think we need camber arms... THe camber kit placed on top of the knuckle seems to be non-slammed friendly..

Everytime I go over a bump on the freeway, i hear a loud clunk and it scares the crap out of the passengers, lol.

Hell, even scares the crap out of me sometimes.
