Paint job needed

Hey all,
My 01 Acura CL needs repainting. No body damage just minor door dings need to be repaired. I'm not looking to spend more than what the car is worth for a paint job. I understand you get what you pay for but the best price I've gotten for a repaint is $800. That's in Los Angeles. I'm located in the Diamond Bar area, willing to travel within 30 miles. Can anyone help me out?

that $800, is that with repairing the dings? 1 stage paint? 2 stage?

$800 sounds like a paint job that will only last a year..

$800? That's like Maaco pricing.

If your mom and uncle got good results, then go for it. Hope your expectations are reasonable though.

primer, flex agent, paint variance, clear coat, and most important the warranty - all needs to be considered for an 800 job

I'm not expecting anything all crazy like candy or a pearl I'm just getting regular plan ol black. Their paint is smooth/slick when you run your fingers across it. No orange peel what so ever. I'll stop by his shop this weekend and ask all the proper details mentioned in this post. I actually got quoted $1200 at a couple 1 a day paints due body work (door dings) needed to be performed

maybe plastidip.. haha.. but seriously if you plan to keep your car for the long run, invest in a bit more.. if not go with low cost paint job.

Sand the car yourself, add body filler where needed(would be best to add a guide coat during the sanding process), and use the base as primer. That should get you a cheaper price
