Who's up to the challenge?

Is anyone bold enough to challenge the MAHSTA?

No need. I AM THE MAHSTA. UNDISPUTED.

Seriously, no one was up to the task.

Seriously, I was CRAZY to take the challenge.

Yeah Tim told me everything when he came over for an oil change and help me with my HID fogs.

Even for someone who absolutely loves spicy food (I've seen you pop Serrannos (sp.) into your mouth like they were french fries) the #2 special kicked your ass. I wonder if anyone has done the #1?

Actually, the #2 is the #1. The level goes "up" for the specials.

So there's a difference between a #2 and a Special #2?

There's a #7-#1, regular, with #1 being spicier than #7. Then, there are two "specials"-#1 and #2, with #2 being spicier than #1.

Yes.

So, it goes from 7 to 1 (lower to higher).
Then, it goes from 1 to 2 for the special (higher to lower).

It must be a Japanese thing?

It used to be back in the day...but not anymore. I heard from other people that they've also made it spicier and harder to finish. Back in the day, if one person actually finished the challenge, the whole table had their food on the house. One too many people started to attempt this, so Orochon Ramen stopped that.

As crazy as this sounds...I just ate here again tonight! I ate the #1 this time, the "Extreme". Needless to say, it was MUCH easier to eat than the "Special #2".

Oh, and I noticed that they didn't have my picture on the wall, but they showed me my picture in their "album".

BTW, Adam Richman's picture is up right next to the front entrance.

Mr. Bug,

I might have to step up to the challenge next time you all go. I finished mine in 23 min flat.

But damn! that shit is hard. lolz...

I personally think the aftermath is worse than going in....

Hey, Paul or Peter?

I see that you are Korean, come hang out in the Korean thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblings-12/asian-pacific-k-rice-thread-753506/

You know...23 minutes is awesome! But, I won't try and beat it . It's not worth it...the after effects are definitely bad. Someone offered me $100 to do it again, but I said .

Justin @ 1:25 - "I quit. It's too hot".

Justin @ 1:58 (after he quit) - "Fuuu! It hurts!"
