The Asian-Pacific (a.k.a. Rice-On!) Thread

Well, I figure we definitely need a Korean thread, as I am Korean and so are a few other guys on the forum. And I know everyone knows at least one Korean person... we're scattered around the nation FFS.

This thread [obviously] isn't exclusive to Koreans, but more for those who appreciate Korean culture, language, food, and .. well, lets face it, Korean women.

Feel free to chat about anything related to Korea or if anyone has a question regarding to "us" people.

I was born in Seoul, but left for the States when I was 22 months old I believe. Unfortunately I do not know much about my Asian background and Korean culture because my parents divorced when I was 6 and my mother has really never been a part of my life after that (my father is American). I do love Korean food, though.

I remember a song in Korean that my mom taught me when I was very young. Haha, it kinda makes me sad thinking about missing out on an entire half of my family that I never knew.

Title changed "slightly" to make it conform to the rules.

And the thread has been cleaned up. Thanks to all who quoted the link and also those who made intelligent comments.

Since Astro made his proclamation about "official threads" in Ramblings, this should satisfy all the rules and let this thread run.

This is not a license to those who would have inappropriately posted an "official" thread to now post the same junk as "unofficial". Astro's rule still applies "No need for official threads about drunk posting, or stupid things you've done." https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblings-12/re-official-threads-722909/

Now that I have made one of my extremely rare appearances in this august forum, I'm off to my regular haunts.

to you for actually typing in the Korean language.

Steve, to you for creating this thread...even though you know next to NO Korean.

BTW, Steve, 자식, why didn't you ask me how to say "jjang" in Korean.

Here it is: "짱"

Maybe the mods can insert that into the thread title?
