Lightbulb Looking for lighting experts in Bay Area (CA)

Looking for someone with experience installing 3G TL headlights and custom wiring (i.e., connecting TL-S headlights on a base TL).

I don't have the tools or know-how to remove the bumper for the installation, and I suspect stereo shops (who typically do custom wiring) won't either. And most body shops don't do electrical work so my options are pretty limited.

If interested, PM me your fee and past installation experience. Good samaritans who don't mind helping fellow TL enthusiasts for free also welcome

I don't think there is any special wiring required for the TLS lights on an base. I did it on my 04 and didn't have to do much. The only real difference is the bulb sockets. I also wired my 04 fogs into DRLs (with a module).

Thx for the tip, looks like the mods incorrectly moved this to the Socal forum, so I posted another one in Norcal. Mods, feel free to merge/delete the new thread if you move this one to the correct forum.

The turn signal and foglight sockets are different, so I need both of those hooked up (I have the TL-S lower fogs too). Can you provide more info on the DRL module and where you got it?

the fog bulbs into the 07-08 DRL spot will melt the housing... you could just leave that spot empty or put in a LED as LED runs cooler.. 06 should be 9006 and the type-s DRL should be a 9005 iirc.. they do make a 9006 to 9005 harness.. or just cut off and splice on.. its most likely 3 wires on driver, 2 wires on passenger..

HID should be the same..

the type-s uses a 1157... the base 7443 socket will not fit.

quick google search comes up with

Not a fan of high-mounted fogs (it washes out the HID beam imo), so I'll be plugging the 04-06 fog connector into the lower TL-S fogs (which I also have) with this adapter:

Yep, luckily 2006-08 use the same ballasts.
