So I just moved to LA a few months ago, and to Marina Del Rey a few weeks ago. I live in an apartment building where I have to park tandem with my gf and have no space to work on my car (it's also in my lease that I'm not allowed to). Are there any self-service garages in the area where you can rent out bay space? I have my own tools and jack/jack stands if I need them.

I really prefer working on my own car both to know the work was done right and to save $$, but it seems like it's not really an option here... As of right now all I really need to do is an oil change and 1x3 transmission fluid change, but would like a place to do suspension/exhaust work, etc in the future. Anyone know of anything?

um find a fellow member around your area.. and to all honesty.. you can just do it anywhere.. go to the self serve car wash, park on the side and start to do your work.. find a empty lot... etc.. at work in the back parking lot.... you can also rent a storage facility.. you can store your shit there.. maybe pull your car in to the storage facility and work on it.

 

I have no clue either. I do have my own driveway and garage though, but the wife parks in the drive and the garage is full of shit. Not to mention I can't even pull my own TL into the driveway due to ground clearance issues.
