This is the AEM V2 CAI for base models of the 2G TL and CL. It will NOT fit a Type-S engine without a little modification. It will also fit any 1998-2002 Honda Accord V6 with Auto Trans. The part number for the intake is AEM 24-6016C.

The intake has about 20-30k miles on it, and the filter looks brand new. It works and sounds great, but I swapped in a CL-S6 engine. It has a couple scratches on the back of the intake, but they are completely unnoticeable when installed.

The intake comes with everything that you would get if you bought it brand new, including all hardware and paperwork. The CARB sticker is included, and unused.

Are you flexible on the price? And how much modification to make it fit on a type s?

 

I think it's a fair price, but I can lower it for active 2G members. You would just have to cut a few inches off the end of the pipe that attaches to the TB. Not difficult, but you would need some kind of cutting tool. Body shop might charge ~$50 to do that.

 

Hacksaw would work fine really. Bandsaw would be best.

 

Doesn't sound too bad. How come you just didn't cut it and keep it on the cls6 engine?

I wish I could, so I don't have to buy another CAI. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit the manual engine at all because there is no VSA TB.
Depends on location, but should be around $10.

How much gains does it provide?

 

It's the best CAI to get for the 2G cars. It advertises 10-15hp, but I've seen dyno results for 7whp.
