HYPER VOLTAGE & GROUNDING KIT INSTALL

Here is the overall view of my Hyper Voltage GT install with DIY ground kit and the ground points I used. unit is mounted with a modified bracket to the underside of the strut bar per the hondatuner article

Path of daisy chain of grounding cables from chassis to motor to alternator to throttle body ending at Hyper Voltage device.

Daisy chain throttle body to Hyper Voltage device

Ground point at chassis and tranny.

ground point at top of motor

Grounding wires are from an auto battery supply house and come in various lengths already made with the connectors in place. $19 for the entire set instead of the $110 thas Sun is asking. The GT kit is a little easier to install since you can terminate your grounding cables to it rather than going to the add on battery post.

The intent is to provide consistent voltage and ground values to all of the sensors and electronics. I did it primarily for upgrading the ground system. I did this in conjunction with a few other mods so I was not able to tell if there was a detectable improvement from just this. I did increase my freeway MPG after said mods. Hodatuner did an article and they documented some improvements. Its not going to be much.

IHC has recently posted a thread where the solution to his poor performance in hot weather has been eliminated by using a high performance battery. These cars are ultra sensitive to voltage and ground issues. I figure I have never had any issues so it may be successful in that way.

I figured that there are several threads currently that are discussing the issues that people have experienced with weak batteries, or weak grounds so I thought I would share a mod that has kept me free of those issues. And its one that you do not see discussed much. And also supported by a magazine test. also not seen much! TL does not get much aftermarket love.

Thread revival. I need this and have looked and it looks like Sigma Automotive :: Accessories that make your car go cleaner, meaner & greener might still have some by the looks of the site it's super outdated. Anyone know of a good link or a plce where these are still available?

Ok so even if I wanted to try it the cheap ones will suffice

I have seen some kits from some compnay in Tawain called D1 spec and thos kits run like 100 and Buddy club makes one that's 150-180 depending on where you buy it. Of course there are those lovely 20 specials on ebay

Yes that was a brand new engine bay. I would try the least expensive option. not really much measurable gains
