It looks like it may be another Acura designed by committee concept.....except this time they had two front end designs and decided to put them both on the car.

Heheheh ... will be definitely going to the Detroit Autoshow this year ...
Yeah, that's probably going to be reasonably close.
As far as GT goes, lets face it, GT is more practical. Just look at the Aston Martin line, 599 GTBs, Continental, etc, etc, etc. Honda is a conservative company they don't need their tail kicked in on the NSX again. The less holes they have in their pockets the more likely they'll be able to have extra cash for V8s.
If they build this, I just hope they use a different name plate, but... they probably won't be the NSX name is big as far as Honda is concerned.
As far as the lines not being sleek for a supercar, uh... since when is Acura a supercar builder. The NSX is great, but its no where near supercar territory, even when it first came out. XJ220, F40, F50, Diablo, Mclaren F1 those are some of the supercars late 80s, early 90s. Today's supercars are Enzo, Veyron, Murcielago, Carrera GT.
Although.... personally, I think if they were able to build a near supercar again, they should do it midengine to bring consumers into the market where they once were. The NSX had people drooling over it 15 years earlier. 15 years later there's probably a lot more of those early admirers that have the 125k or so it would take to buy a modern NSX.

the "advance" concept that debut earlier was said to look into the future 20-50 years....
so if this is the "advance sports concept car" i would think the same.
This IMO is not what will be coming out in the next 1-3 years but far beyond that.

What is Acura unveiling this Sunday (1/7/07) at the Detroit show?
I just saw on the Edmunds.com site that this Sunday early afternoon (1/7/07), Acura will be unveiling a new vehicle. I am wondering which vehicle this will be? Will it be the new Advanced Sports Car Concept (NSX)? Or the vehicle that the next TSX will be based on?
I can't wait!

I wonder if front engine / RWD layout (as rumored in previous posts) would keep the cost down?

IMO, the CL replacement would be a great place to add a FR vehicle in the $40-50ish range with SH-AWD as an option.
EuroSnobs chided the original NSX an everyday exotic as un underhanded compliment. To me, that's a draw, not a put down.

Why bring back a CL that never had a sales following? Why doesn't Ford revive the pinto as a sport compact today?

Well they've gotta bring back something for the coupe crowd that isnt the next NSX (aka exotic), and it would be convenient to badge it as a CL.

perfect 50/50 weight

Please Honda/Acura don't drop the ball on this one!
I completely forgot about the Accord cooupe concept.
