So I replaced all 3 motor mounts last year on August and after testing the mount today (putting the car in gear while holding the break and acellerating to about 1500 RPM) I noticed that my front mount is very obviously broken again, It moves several inches up and down. How? I drive slow, and never take off from red lights. they cost like 200$ for OEM mounts and this would be my 3rd mount replacement in 6 years..

 

have you checked your transmission mounts? If they have gone bad it could be putting more stress on the engine mounts thus making them wear out prematurely ..

 

There are tons of topics in regards to motor mounts and I’m experiencing the same thing as you. These aftermarket motor mounts only lasted me about two years and now I have to change them again. They are cheap but don’t last anywhere as long as OEM. It’s not worth it for me to go OEM because I can’t see myself with the car in the next two years so I’ll be going aftermarket again 🙃.

 

I solved the problem in my car by going to a urethane passenger side mount, OEM front and replacing a couple bad transmission mounts. That was 4 years ago now.
