Timing belt adjuster torque
05 MDX
Just finished buttoning up after a timing belt change and looking back I realized I torqued the belt adjuster bolt to 33ft/lb but actual spec is 19ft/lb. The tensioner rotates freely around the collar with no binding which I checked
before putting the new belt on.
Do I leave well enough alone or tear it apart again?
Thanks,
Iggy

I think you are referring to the T-Belt pulley as its the only one with a collar.. If it moved after tightening then You should not have any problems..

Yep that is the T-Belt tensioner pulley. So if it moved afterwards there should be no binding so you might be fine...
They are:
Hydro Tensioner
T-Belt Idler pulley (10)
T-Belt Tensioner pulley (11)

Lol. Well, I guess time will tell. Thanks
I wonder why the torque on that bolt is so low. Same size bolt in other parts are usually 33ft/lb.
