Damn straight - it's my car, and I like that sticker. All you other suckers have to wait a year or two, or maybe three, before you get your Type S TLXs, I've got mine already.

I married a Japanese girl as well, but I have gone from Honda to Subaru and Volvo (have owned both of each). Does that give me vaginitis and lez-baru disease? Hell no. But I can tell you that both Subaru's have been extremely reliable and value for money. Both Volvo's have been super reIiable as well. I just don't try to compare them to cars that are much better. I can't afford an Audi or anything else that floats my boat at the moment. Sending kids to college is rough on the pocketbook.
Back on topic, knowing Acura the "new" Type S TLX will see a "modest" increase in HP, from 290 to 305. And they will add special seats and an interior badge. Charge $5K more and call it a day

Yes, if you stick to the same patterns from the past and never innovate. I think Acura learned a very hard lesson that shit that worked 15 years, doesn't necessarily work today. Change, or remain. Remaining doesn't work so well.
Well up until today, Acura has not proved me wrong... and it is 2018. I hope one day they will prove me wrong... so wrong that i would go buy another Acura.

It has been the same shit with different skin for the past decade and more... and they even fuck up the skin from time to time.

The 1G RDX was very good looking and sold pretty well.
The 4G TL and 2G TSX were abominations. The problem with those cars were the bloated and horrendous looks, not a lack of innovation. The 4G TL was a very good step above the 3G TL, in many categories. Not all. But many.

I got a good dose of that in my current long-term rental car as I switched out of a Camaro RS to a Caddy XTS....the steering is super light and vague/loose (some prior renter knocked the alignment off cause the steering wheel is not centered, lol), very comfy ride, roomy, but man big difference in how the two feel. I just saw the XTS also has a Vsport version that I guess it supposed to be a spiritual successor to the STS-V, but I can see why ppl go for the sportier CTS/ATS cars.
Not saying I love the firm suspension of a sporty car all the time, but definitely I can see the appeal of a sport sedan that has practicality/comfort when needed, and the sportiness when desired.
Off topic: The weird half touch/half-feedback touchscreen/black piano plastic of the new Caddys definitely needs to get some used to. I'm learning how to use swipe left/right to adjust volume and it's starting to become more useful/intuitive......kinda clever I do have to say....

Sounds like a used CTS-V with magnetic ride control might be the cure to your ailment!

The entry level model has a...wait for it...... a 2.0L turbo 4 producing an expected 252HP. Amazing Acura, just freaking amazing. A tarted up CRV at an expected price above the outgoing RDX (~$37K)

but 252 hp is pretty competitive in the segment and it will certainly be faster than that outgoing model. The old RDX has no cojones.
