I had the same problem when putting in my bulb. I just kept working at it and trying different angles and it went in.

 

sorry to bump this up, but what size vinyl letters were used for this mod, most places carry vinyl lettering only in the 1inch to 2 inch size, but this looks like it would be in millimeters ? Can someone please help me find the size of that vinyl lettering and where i could purchase it ? I would really apprreciate it, thank you

 

i believe they are 1/2 inch vinyl letters. they seem to be hard to find. ive gone to a bunch of staples and office depots and they only have 1 or 2 inch.

I have a 3G TL and just completed the Shift Knob modification. See below:





I used white LEDS and noticed that the plastic piece underneath has a blue tint to it, making it all look blue. I wish I could see the OPs original pictures, because I think that I am going to re-do the plastic underneath using the instructions provided from the original post. I
