Question Best TRUE cold air intake for CL Type S?

Just looking for some opinions out there. All the suggestions I currently have are coming from guys with Nissans so I wanna hear from the the true Acura fans what they think? I do want a good sound along with the performance enhancement. What do you guys think?

they all do about the same thing...make hissing noise at idle and let out sighs of relief when you turn the car off.

Assuming you have an Auto CL-S I'd recommend the AEM CAI:

Icebox takes air from the lower bumper area without the risk of hydrolock since the filter is in the engine compartment. Plus it doesnt have the ricey raspiness that alot of aftermarket CAI's have.

AEM has a bypass valve you can purchase to eliminate hydrolock

+1

CT icebox is tried and true. has been proven to give nice gains. if not, custom seems like the way to go. couple guys on here have experimented with custom piping and have had great results. you may encounter the "raspiness" tho

Ive been saying for over a year I need to make a video of my intake. I dont get that hissing noise when I shut it down. I do get a loud suction noise when I hit the gas though and it barks at the VTEC crossover. At cruise its completely silent. At first I hated it but Ive grown to love it.

The Icebox was silent at all times, looked stock, but gave a nice bump in power. I loved it.

FYI....

I've been waiting 3 weeks for mine to ship... 6spd that is.

This week I was told they're waiting for the foam filters to arrive from the manufacture.

Patience sucks!

Could build your own rather easily. The comptech is still rather restrictive.

I have an Injen CAI + hydroshield. Even on the rainiest days here in the Pacific Northwest I've never experienced hydrolock. IMO the splash guards in place make it damn near impossible to hydrolock if you ran over a big puddle, and I've ran over dozens.
