Exhaust Help Clamps Vs. Welded
I was searching around and I found out that some people use stainless steel clamps to secure staight pipe and after market parts on thier exhausts. My question would be is it ok for me to use clamps on my exhaust if I were to straight pipe the oem mid muffler and resonator?

but im telling you, it's easier to have an exhaust shop do things for $60
the way you are trying to do it...it means you have to source the straight pipe. and clamps...where as an exhaust shop has everything on hand and can do everything in like 15 mins.

Clamps are fine, I'm pretty sure those $1000+ aftermarket exhausts made for our cars are all clamped together.
You're looking into a lot of work doing this yourself as stated before though.

Dont get the typical clamps that crush the pipe, you wont get the pipe apart. If you get anything welded spend the money on V band clamps. Best exhaust clamp/joint possible. If you are against any welding, Get the Stainless band clamps, i have used them for years on multiple vehicles and they work really well. Even have them on my Explorer Sport which is twin turbo and they are leak free and hold well and you can remove the pipe even years later.
