But what's with this trend of the C/D pillar being black? I think that's ugly.

 

Because that is "sporty" The black exterior trim is part of M sport, AMG, or pretty much any sorta sport package nowadays. I quite like them as long as they are glossy, not the matte cheap plastic looking black.

 

stopped in at the local Volvo dealer today to check out the V90 Cross Country-very nice vehicle. It was fully loaded and had a sticker of $68K! I think I'd prefer the V90 as I don't need the family truckster kinda wagon. Salesman did say the factory delivery option is basically free travel as Volvo gives you vouchers for 2-$2500 vouchers for air travel and you don't get charged $1000 destination fee even though they ship it from Sweden to the USA and then trucked to your local dealer. I'd seriously consider doing this just to see Sweden. Oh yeah, first night in Sweden is on Volvo too.

 

ED is definitely a good way to buy a car if you got the time.

But if I were to do an ED, it would be in Munich

 

When BMW finally comes to its senses and realizes not every moron wants to drive an SUV and starts selling wagons again the U.S., I'll be in Munich too.

 

Considering how many GT they sell, I don't understand why they would choose GT over Wagon for the US market...

That Jag wagon is gorgeous! I've grown to like the F-Pace SUV too. The front is extremely good looking.

I agree i really like the F-Pace. While every brand all share similar looks, i think Jaguar has put Identical front end on every car they have now

It is a good look but come on, at least make it slightly different.

 

Oh I really like the black trim instead of chrome. I was referring to black body paint on the C or D pillar instead of main body color.

 

Ohh.. I see.. oops.... is that a trend? i have not noticed many other cars like that.

 

There are some instances where I like it (Ford Flex)
But on cars like the RX350 & Maxima, I don't car for it, unless it has a black roof to match, just breaks the flow of the car for me.

Maxima and the new RX have other exterior elements that are way worse than the black C/D pillar that i dont even notice them

 

In pics, the F-Pace looks great and from certain angles on the road as well. There are some views of it I don't really like and it seems too small overall for me. There's one down the street (black) and by watching it on the road it has been knocked out of any consideration by me.

 

I think because F pace is not a big SUV, it needs to have the right packages to look "right"

Cant help it. The F Pace is sexy.

 

I'd be happy with either. Given my tax bracket, I'll have to wait 10-15 years before either will be realistically attainable.
