Anybody know when the new TLX will be live on Acura's site for build and price?

Same here, was expecting full price list to go live with the 'big reveal' today. So far it's 1k more for sure over past year with much less discounts. Curious if other makers will counter.

^might be due to the engine shut off feature on the shawd, which is so terrible that i turn it off as soon as i start the vehicle.

Any idea how fast TrueCar gets these transactions? Of course the dealers around me are already saying they won't budge on msrp so I'm curious what the initial batches are going for? We all know once the hype dies down they'll really start discounting them again.

The hottest cars in the segment (loaded A4 or C300) on par with the 2018 TLX are listed on Edmunds in my area at $4,000 and $6,000 discounts respectively. I can't see how even from the start they could sell the A-Spec anywhere near MSRP. There's no value proposition there at that price. My guess is they'll need to be around $3,000 off of MSRP or more from the get go. We'll know in a couple of weeks.

I would imagine off the bat they will try to sell near MSRP. I do not believe Acura is pushing for the value play right away. I think the hope is that the first batch of MMC TLXs will require very little in terms of incentives. By 2020, I would expect the TLX to be a great value play.

In today's car buying enviorment selling a car, let alone a sedan, at anything close to MSRP is a daunting task. Let's see how much luck Acura dealers have with that tactic.

I think they'll sell at MSRP initially. They can limit supply in the initial rollout and pick off the "have to have it" people for a few months.

I would hope not. My plan was to pick one up by mid-June. I need at least $3,000 off of MSRP for the purchase to meet my payment target.

Not sure if I am understanding correctly, but 2020? haha I was thinking they will start offering incentives before September this year, if Audi and MB are already doing $4k-$6k discount.

I though that the 2017 models were already rated using the updated EPA rule, but I guess I was wrong. At this point, this explains the drop.

When I bought my '15 TLX Adv one month after launch all I got off MSRP was $1000, and that was after shopping around. 2018 MMC is still a same gen TLX as far as I am concerned.

Think the "gotta have its" will get soaked up pretty quickly. Last year was not very good for almost everybody's non-SUV lines. I got 11% off the 2018 LCI (MMC) 440 on a custom factory build.

On a $45K TLX that would be close to $5000. Considering TLX 2016 sales were down 10,000 units from 2015 I would think they don't want to play games & have to get the sales volume up. 2017 sales look like last year if you extend the first 4 months out. 12,000 X 3 = 36,000 cars. The 12,000 was greatly helped by a doubling of volume in the April with the second best month @ 5258 in the TLX's history.

They were pretty aggressive here culling through prior owners lists. I got a number of direct mail offers from the two local dealers.

Under the packages section it lists the Advanced model as having 19" wheels, but under the wheels section they say 18" wheels. Someone goofed. haha.

Just having some fun with the configurator. I'm partial to the modern steel metallic with red interior. I think that's a sweet combo.

Anyone see that the accessory spoiler is different than the spoiler on the advance model. So that makes 3 different spoiler available for the 2018 (accessory, advance, and a-spec). Will have to look at the parts catalog and see if it is worth picking up.

They did an great job with this update. I've not been this excited about the look of an Acura other than a NSX since the first time I laid eyes on a 3G.

I went to an Acura dealership to pick up a bolt and checked out the TLX in person. Gotta say the new update looks really good!

My sales rep called me first thing this morning, so I stopped by the dealership to take a personal look. I think the front emblem is "obnoxious" but can probably get over that. Overall the car looks pretty much the same. The A-Spec is impressive, for those who are looking for a more sporty car. Pricing isn't much higher that 2017. They have 30+ 2017s to unload before they will deal much from MSRP.

Did you test drive one? If you did how did it drive?

Congrats! Looks sweet! I just played around with the build and price feature. You can add the heated steering wheel to the TLX A-Spec for $500. I would pay that for it. Seems reasonable to me.

I went to my dealer on Sunday and they didn't have a one. And had very few leftovers. Can't wait to see the ASpec in person.

Im loving the red interior option on the Aspec, and loving the wheels. Its about damn time they made a decent looking wheel for the tlx after teasing us with the prototype wheels. Im torn, because normally I would just do an advanced model and add the Aspec wheels after, but then I would lose out on the red interior, which I absolutely have always loved in cars that offer it.

Ha. Yeah. I always walk dealers on sundays. It's my go to when I'm bored. Plus no hassles.
