Not digging this new look and grill. Make my 2015 quite handsome. My next car sure wont be another Acura at this rate. This new grill make the tlx too truck/suv like. Not sleek at all.

Thank You
Cannot believe they dug out InfraMan for this commercial. That is 1 of my guilty pleasures movies. I still call the one character on "Game of Thrones" "Princess Dragon Mom".
The red seats are a nice touch. Glad to see Acua starting to jazz up their vehicles more.

This is just my opinion, but im with you on this one. There is no flow to the lines on the front end. The grille is simply too big.

Headlights look awful with that grille.

Is this the regular sh-awd V-6 TLX or A-Spec version with optional front lip and rear diffuser and exhaust tips?
The larger grill design seems to be the norm now with luxury brands?

I actually really like the look of that, the rear is much improved, the front only slightly, I think the grill could've been a bit smaller but I think it will grow on me. The seats look awesome and very happy to see exhaust tips are back.
Biggest let down would have to be no drive-train changes and looks like no brake upgrade, so basically just all cosmetic. I think when you dress up a car like a performance model it needs a little extra something.

Android Auto (and probably Apple CarPlay) is a nice surprise. I didn't think they'd do it until 2020.
I regret buying the 4cyc TLX tech, but this refresh has me reconsidering buying another Acura vs jumping over to Audi or BMW.

yeah carplay/android auto is an awesome addition if truly there!

Really minor, but it looks like the power button to the right of the volume knob is gone, and now you have to press in on the knob to turn it off/on. Makes sense. I like how they're hiding the front and rear parking sensors much better now. Still not hip on the grille and headlights but I will wait to reserve final judgement until I see one in person in grey or black. Definitely a step in the right direction though.

There are four lights!
Hoping things would look better compared to the blurry spy shots, but still not digging the front. The entire front end looks squashed and that grill is way, way too big. My lease ends when Acura should be releasing the 2G TLX so I'm hoping that grille will work better with that car. If it still looks like an abomination, my 2016 will be my first, and last Acura.

The range-topping TLX is also fitted with dark-finish 19-inch wheels, a more precise steering system, and sport-tuned suspension.
Here is a collage I threw together:

Refresh 2000 a TLX
After I watch in CarPlay come standard which is very nice. Via Vance mode gets wireless charging heated rear and steering wheel, and a couple other upgrades

Like father like son I guess. I know they didn't change the powertrains, which was never a real possibility for the MMC, but there are more significant changes than most people predicted. Not sure, how that equates to "nuthin"?

To me a significant change would be -
A sports model with an engine with more horse power
A fuel saving model with an engine with hybrid tech like they Honda accord - great MPG and decent acceleration (for those that don't need the 500 HP V6)
Air cooled seats
A good looking front end
Lines that FLOWED - like someone actually designed the car before throwing parts together from different model kits I realize it is just an MMC but seriously?
Putting an LCD behind the steering wheel like on the A4
even a Chilled/heated cupholder - would have been more significant than what I got out of the MMC.
The only thing of any significant that I got was they updated the infotainment system from a 2002 model to a 20012 model.

I think about 320-350HP would be plenty sufficient for a performance model on this platform if they ever do it.
This refresh at least brought a few items to influence handling which I think is great, would more power be nice, sure, but I think this is a big leap in styling and a nice step towards a more performance oriented model. People are obsessed with 0-60 times, the true test for the A-spec will be how it handles compared to the competition with the new beefier sway bar, upgraded steering, sport tuned dampers, stiffer springs, and upsized wheel/tire package along with the SH-AWD system. I'll wait on that before I judge the car.

Quite the opposite, I think the general consensus is getting worse, especially in non Honda/Acura forums. My opinion isn't swayed, I think its an utter and complete abortion, inside and out. What happens when the 2018 Accord is introduced? Fire Merek, already.

Uffff. Man all negative comments. Life is beautiful and enjoy it. TLX is a car and I am sure some will like it and some will dislike it.
Time to move on and switch brand if Acura doesn't meet your criteria.

the bumper and valance look nice and aggressive, but not overboard, but that grill.....OMG. I also like the exhaust and black accents they put in the A spec to make it stand out, but where are the bolstered seats, 10 speed, lower suspension, and added horsepower????? I wonder what a V6 AWD A spec will list for?

That grill is hideous. Aftermarket grill companies are going to make a fortune as that is probably the ugliest grill I've ever seen, outside of east LA.
