What does this have to do with Audio, Video, Electronics & Navigation?

Moved from AcuraZine - Acura Enthusiast Community > Special Interest > Audio, Video, Electronics & Navigation to Car Talk where you don't need a prefix.

Looks good, but I have to be honest, I spot a TON of air bubbles. Was it finished in these pics?

Oh I see. Maybe consider sanding it and seeing if you can make it smooth because it looks a bit odd to be honest.

if i were to wrap, i wouldn't wrap with a wood look but rather a brushed look or carbon fiber look... if you already have wood underneath, why wood again?

something like this...

Wrapped my wood grain interior

Brushed black metal vinyl comparison - VVivid Brushed black metal vs 3M Brushed black metallic
I am seriously considering this for my NSX interior. Buying new trim pieces is going to cost upwards of $2,000. It looks really good, at least from those iphone pics posted.

yea there are some really nice brushed looks now... i'm going to eventually do mine in the Vagon since i cracked one of the pieces and it's like a few hundred bucks for a 12" piece of plastic...

Glossy wood grain vinyl looks awful in general regardless of bubbles or adhesion.

Since I'm in a car interior business, I've dealt with so many pre-vinyl wrapped panels.

The vinyl wrap will bubble up and fade during the summer time due to the heat, especially when DIY-ed.

Would highly recommend against it.
