New clutch w/ high pitch whine
So I just had a new clutch installed yesterday got my keys started it up and had the loudest whine sound, anyone ever experience this before? it was a cold start and it went away after about 5 min of warming up. During the cold start it would get louder when I gave it some gas, but nothing changed when I pushed the clutch in the sound was still there ill try to post a video of it on here soon on the next cold start.

Probably has nothing to do with clutch... If you gave it gas, and the noise increased... You're looking for a belt, or pulley that happened to go bad coincidentally with the clutch job.
Easiest way to diagnose is to pull serpentine belt. If noise goes away, you can then point to the belt or one of its pulley's

We looked at the pulleys right away, its coming from the transmission area... that's what's strange you would think its a pulley just by my description but its not I don't ill post a vid in a couple hours

The throw out bearing in the clutch makes a noise... But that only happens when you depress clutch pedal.
Your wording gave it away..."noise gets louder with gas"
So you're looking for anything that is connected to the engine.....Via accessory belt...Or drive belt.... Serpentine belt

Sounds like something slightly hitting the fingers on the pressure plate. I'm not sure what it could be, but there really isn't anything else in there that would make that kinda sound.

That could be very possible, Throw out bearing? Pilot bearing? wondering what part could be coming in contact with the pressure plate though? I will find out tomorrow when I bring my car back to the mechanic my only guess is something is not properly aligned in the transmission

My mechanic called just a little bit ago and what he told me had me by surprise, so apparently the teeth on the new flywheel were just a hair longer than the original one so what the noise was the teeth brushing up against a front engine mount bolt? and put a washer around the bolt so it wouldn't hit the flywheel. He said the flywheel was fine, but I am not very knowledgeable when it comes down to it something I was not expecting. I guess the flywheel is good but I don't how after the teeth hitting the bolt find out when I go pick it up later

HOLY CRAP!!! I just got the shiftervan started for the first time. Mine had the same noise. I pulled that bolt and added a washer. No more noise!!!! Thanks for posting the fix.

Just curious, which of the three bolts on the front engine mounting bracket (#12) below is the culprit. The top middle or left or right lower, standing in front of the car?

That is crazy. You both used the LUK DMF063 and encountered the same issue. I had the same flywheel installed late 2015 without incident.

I don't think it would be the 'starter ring teeth' on the flywheel per se, more like the 'sensor trigger tabs'. Unless the edge of the 'ring gear' is intermittently contacting the sleeve the crank sensor resides in.
What do you think?
