I would do a kit with the D5500 then. It is a great entry camera that sensor wise will not let you down. You can then spend more down the road on glass primarily a 70-200 f/2.8 or f/4 max is what you will want for motor sports down the road.
Now the link Tyler posted of the Nikon deals there are two lenses you can get. The 18-55 or the 18-140. The 18-55 will be sharper of the two lenses. The 18-140 will give you more range if you decide to take some on the track of people as long as lighting out is good.

I just went through that whole issue of should I upgrade to full frame or not. Not sure if it is really worth it which how much light the new crop sensors can pickup. I didn't believe it at first but I have been loving my D500 so far.

Still working on getting a reliable connection setup with my phone so I can post them right away. Now if only I could find an easy way to edit raw photos from a tablet or my phone on the go instead of needing to shoot in jpeg.

Nikon Fan Boy I just happen to have like 5 DX specific lenses (10.5 fisheye, 12-24, 17-55, 18-70, 18-200) and the the cost to sell them all I would maybe be able to buy 1 high end FX lens. The 24-702.8 fx lens is like 1800. The auto focus area on the D750 is weak as well. If I went FF ever I would want a D810 but then now you are looking at $2400 for just a camera body.

Tried to go out the other day after I washed the caddy and take some pictures of it but drove around for about 1.5hrs and never found a place I really liked as a location. That is the problem. I am always picky with my locations and so far I don't have any that I have scouted out in the Huntersville area at all. My old locations I used to use in Statesville have been torn down or sold and no longer are abandoned.
Been doing some general shooting in the house but I have only had the camera about 10-12 days now. You should definitely go check out the D500. It is everything the D7200 is but a nicer feel in the hand and the same autofocus system out of the new D5 to go with it. Only thing the D7200 has on it is a 24MP sensor instead of a 20MP but really not that big of a deal. You used to need full frame for good low light but now the D500 is only 1 stop behind the D750 in comparison tests.

Well we got 4in at the house which was nice. Played with the dogs out in the snow for a good while before turning to plowing my driveway, two neighbors driveways, and our private street after that with my old Johh Deere tractor.
Was going to take the wagon out in the snow but when I went to put the snow tires on Friday night I realized again that I had an issue with the wheels Discount Tire had sent me. So I had 3 19x8.5 wheels and 1 19x9.5. The 19x9.5 was nice and had a concave face but after test fitting it the fitment would have needed the fenders rolled. Not worth it for some winter wheels that will see at most 2-3 weeks a year.

So C&C got rescheduled because of the snow then? This is normally the weekend I go to the one up here in Cornelius since it is on the second Saturday. If enough people are going though I might make the treck down. They are calling for rain on Saturday right now at least up here.

But we had amazing weather last week. I loved it I want more of it again.
Going to try and get the car washed tonight after work. It goes to the shop to get some new bushings tomorrow. Stupid crappy rubber oem ones have torn.
I will come to C&C if the weather is good Saturday.

Hmm... maybe I'll take the Tundra up now that it's all vinyled. We'll see how late of a night tonight is.
On a side note... anyone looking for a toy hauler/camper?

Well I won't be making it to C&C tomorrow at least not in the V that is for sure. The new poly bushing took longer than they expected to install as they had never done a set before so I am not picking the car up till tomorrow around lunch time. The weather is looking great either so not sure it will be worth it. Much cooler and calling for rain as well.
I would bring the TSX out for an hour but if the Roads are wet it is completely clean and I don't feel like detailing it again. Was really hoping to be able to bring the V though.
