10 months old, Kam!

thanks JT!
Honestly, after my NBP TL I was like, oh hell no...no black ever again. Wife gets raven SRX
but after caring for her car for 3 years, I was impressed with how well the paint held up...didn't scratch nearly as easily as the honda paint.
So when I saw a reasonably priced Wagon (I wanted a Wagon specifically but thought it was out of reach) that was black, auto and non-recaro...I made some compromises...
I agree with black diamond...if I had it, I'd love it...but I'm happy with raven, when it's clean it looks really good. I keep them well waxed too!
After owning 4 black cars ( I love black cars) there was no way I wanted another because I am too OCD with my paint. That's why I have been going with White Pearls and Silver Metallics recently in order to keep my sanity.
However, what I did like about the Black Diamond paint was that it hides swirls and RID's a lot better than the Raven Black, but the RB has more depth.
More importantly, your daughter is adorable...

I think Fords Tuxedo Black has Black Diamond beat. The amount of color flake in it is insane.

I dont remember. I painted my buddies Raptor fender flares and bumpers body color (tuxedo black) and when i open the can of paint my jaw dropped. My Explorer is Tuxedo Black, and on the rare occasion that its clean for more than a few min i sit back and admire the flake.

LMAO...I hope she comes back to read all this when she's old enough
super nice things to say guys...I love the kid very much. It's going by SO fast!

Weird, its such a popular color. I see Guard was a new color on the Explorer. I tried to convince the wife to buy a new sport with Guard. Then it would match the TL, thats what color i painted the TL.
Time flies, Quinn will be 5 in 3 months and Tate 7 a few months later and i still cant believe they are that old already.

I love black cars.....for the five seconds they are clean after I wash/wax. I can't wait until the lease on my black RLX ends, though. NEVER AGAIN. That said, that wagon in black is awesome.
Your daugther is so cute.

I will say that there's a member that's posted on here recently that shamed me into going black again by calling me a car color racist when I said fuck no to black again. FUCK NO TO BLACK again...then I felt bad, I was like, bro...one of my best friends are black...fine I'll buy black.
Someone.
Thanks Bob...funny enough, it hasn't rained too much this week...and honestly, with the good wax job...damn thing still looks perfectly clean. The rims and the coating of brembo dust on the other hand

Confirmed.. dug up an old thread from my archives.. he took down the pics, but he was referencing Xirallic, which gave TBM the amazing flake.

Once you go black..
I love the Magnetic, but Guard looks so awesome. Shame it was stopped for F150s after MY15.
Love the guard on the 2G
The 2nd EB F150, that I actually had a deal written on, was a TBM Limited with Marina Blue interior. Looked awesome, but glad in a way that it didn't work out.
Same dealer had a lowered TBM Exploder Sport, looked great.

Hells naw to black, again, at least for me.....
Yet somehow its my fault or im not taking care of her car when its dirty. I showed her my 2 wash buckets and multiple wash mitts and hundreds of towels for drying all conveniently placed in a nice cabinet in the garage which she somehow never seems to be able to find
i am with you bro... i told myself the same thing after my 03 BLACK G35. Since then i have gone white only and 1 blue
It is hard to describe the feeling after you spent 5 hours to wash/wax a black car and it is like you never washed it after 2 days.

Yeah man...there's no other color that quite reflects so nicely...also, there's something about the red tail lights that I LOVE on a black car.
My "plan" is to never go black again...but you already know. The other thing is that black feels sinister, we associate white with good and black with evil (#alllivesmatter)...so when you see it, it just looks meaner when it's black, to me.
LOL...I tried Jeff...I wasn't willing to push it and I'm glad though. I just saw on the cts forums a guy posted that he rolled and ruined his fenders and didn't really gain much clearance. That made me feel better!
But you are onto something cause I am a big pussy!
