Alternative to plasti dip grille

I have plasti dipped my grille multiple times now and it always has looked just ok. Never great. So this past weekend I took off my front bumper and disassembled my grille and vinyl wrapped it in gloss black. Here is the link where I got the wrap from. 5ft x 1ft (5 Sq/ft) 3M GLOSS Black G12 Scotchprint Car Wrap Vinyl Film 1080 Series https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007EEU58W..._hsiYxbYAZP2GY

Overall I am very pleased with how it turned out. There is a bit of a learning curve with vinyl wrap but practice makes perfect! I personally think this looks a ton better than plasti dip and a lot more professional. What do you guys think?

looks good! i try to stay away from plastidip in general but the few times i have used it i prefer it over vinyl because of the matte look to it and to me that seems more oem and doesn't stick out as much...again that all depends on where you put it

you should also do something with the rest of the grill where it's faded from black to grey (this is one area where i plastidipped mine since it was faded just like yours)

Looks good man. I'm considering getting mine paint matched if/when I repaint my front bumper. My plasti dip started peeling right after I did it lol. I just don't feel like re spraying it for it to start chipping and peeling again.

The grill looks good. I tried plasti dip. Looked good at first but chipped quickly. I'm wrapping my grill this week end. Practicing on smaller curved parts.

Looks good, but similar degree of tradeoffs to plasti-dip. Interested to see how long they last for comparison. Vinyl shop near me said, it could be about the same. Fixing plasti-dip seems easier, but time will tell.

Thank you everyone for the kind words! I will update here in a few months on how the vinyl is holding up. Rock chips are going to happen as my front bumper already looked like it went through a war zone when I first purchased my TL. I will keep you guys posted.

Any examples/pictures of this anywhere? Vinyl looks great, but durability of all of it is a question.
