3G TL plasti dip side marker stripe

My phone won't let me post more than one picture at a time. So bear with me. Since the side markers led straight into the stripe going down the side, I thought it might be a simple thing to plasti dip. Here are the results. I think this would look great on a white TL.
Tips: peel tape while plasti dip is wet. I sprayed as I took the tape off leaving no window for drying to the tape. It dries fast, so be quick and cautious.

Trying to get good lighting so you can see it in the pictures was tough.

however, in this instance, that doesnt look good at all. and no, not even on a white car.

Most "amazing" thing in this case is how easily it can be removed.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the stuff. I also vote "no" on what the OP shows.

You can't even really see it on dgp and the subtlety is part of the attraction to me. To each their own. Plus it's not permanent, so no harm no foul.

oh we never said it was permanent, as we know what plastidip is! and i even complimented you on trying!

but I feel that you are going to peel it off sooner than later, as most of us who play with plastidip do. because it doesnt look good. Hats off to you, that if you think a reversed skunk stripe down the side of a car looks good.

plus, YOU EVEN asked us for our thoughts!

Okay sheesh I took it off. I don't have $ to do serious exterior mods like some, so when I get bored I experiment. Thanks everyone.

Do your own thing man. If you like it, don't worry about what others think. But if you don't want to know what others think, don't ask.

No matter what you do someone will love it and someone will hate it.

That's just life.

YOLO -Drake.

Well, in all seriousness, there's no way you actually liked it if you gave up that easily. Also, we make fun of everyone all the time no matter what.

I'm the dumb hypocritical rockstar. I once painted emblems red. I once had a tall rear wing. Nice to meet you.

Also, at least you're trying new things!

Davknights, I would keep in mind a lot of 3G TL owners on this site I believe are 30+ years old. I dunno how old you are, but if you're in your teens or early 20s you may not want to take the style opinion of a bunch of "old men"

I did a lip on my rear bumper with plasti dip and I think it turn out good. See my post in this thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...cement-895185/

good luck on your mods man! keep trying new things

Looks meh, the shiny paint honestly looks great in that crease when you are driving and other folks are looking at the car. It really catches your eyes with the way the metal is shaped vs the flat finish of the plastidip that makes it seem like a flat stripe.

I'm 29. I don't mind constructive criticism. But I definitely appreciate the logic behind reasoning^^

I promise you, every one of us who has played with the dip has dipped something dumb. Because it is only $8.
I dipped my grille but took it off a week later because it didn't match the rest of the car.
I also dipped the rear license plate cover, but still didn't look good. Like, the texture didn't match with the glossy paint
