He gets more trim than he knows what to do with in that Accord.
Wait, what was the question?

Yes, swap the wheels...

Does HPF make a nice wheel? I don't know, keep it clean and simple... Nice color, I usually don't like that color but it's nice on the Accord!!!

Great choice!!!

Man, that's nice!!!

All his Accord needs is LEDs, tint, and wheels that aren't from 1998, then it would be perfect...

But if it's any consolation, they look OK on PMM, I think!!!

Eother way, it's still beautiful stock!!!

Hahaha

Thanks everyone!

Well, I just ordered my first accessory for the car, the OEM Nose mask/ leather bra. I'm going on a roadtrip to break the car in this weekend, and didn't want to tape up the front end or deal with the bugs and rockchips that come with a 1000mi trip. So i ordered it online for about $150 shipped.

Also, I'm going to get my windows tinted today which should be nice. Probably will go with the legal 50/35, the black interior really makes it look pretty dark already. If I could, I'd love to have 20 or 35 all the way around.

As for the wheels, I agree they aren't my favorite, but they've kinda been growing on me. You're right, I don't actually mind them as much on this car as on some other colors. Maybe the black ties in better with it cause of the darker exterior and black interior? I think adding the sport grill will set it off nicely.

Other plans are simple. OEM decklid spoiler, trunk mat, and probably the Sport grille. Gonna try to wait til I at least make my first payment on the car before anything else tho

Ahhh, I know! Sucks to suck. They didn't have tires though, and would have cost me a lot. I actually kind of like the 2013-2015 accord sport wheels, they're 18" instead of 19" and I favor the design a little more. I've got my eyes peeled for a set!

Today marks a week that I've had the car. Got the windows tinted yesterday, 40% front 30% rear passenger doors, and 20% rear window. I'm really happy with it. The only thing is I forgot to tell them not to cut around the 3rd brake light, but I can live with it. The black interior really makes it look super dark. I love it

I'm pretty much starting to like the wheels now...

Nice!!! I was hoping you'd go 40/30, I could neve go lighter than 40.. Especially on a gray like you have, the darker tint looks so freaking awesome!!!

Thanks!! The wheels are growing on me too, but im basically indifferent about them. They're just meh.

Tint was done yesterday
My nose mask was delivered today
ordered a covercraft custom sunshade today

Thinking about placing an order for OEM vent visors.

I need to slow down. I've been looking at trunk spoilers too, and the sport grill..

Guys,

The Accord forum sucks.

I'm gonna miss Azine.

Finally filled the tank for the first time last night on the Accord. It came with a full tank and 20 miles on it, but I wanted to run it all the way down. The gas light came on, I went another about 80 miles until the MID displayed 0 as the range and filled her up with fresh 87. The first tank got 444 miles in one week, averaging 28 MPG. That is mixed city and some highway, and the car had never been in ECON mode at all. Filled up with about 15.5 gallons and turned the ECON mode on to see how much better I can do this time around.

Probably going to put about 1500 miles on the car this weekend, so we'll see

Side note: can't wait to get the OEM deck lid spoiler. I love the rear on this car and that makes it so much better looking.

Heck, start a thread about your Accord like Rockstar did about his CTS-V!!!

It's almost an Acura, heck, I'd rather an Accord!!!

Keep us posted!!!

Oh, I've heard fuel economy goes up a little after Break-In, so there's that too!!!

Nice Accord!!!

Thanks everyone! Maybe I should create or move this thread to car-talk and stay! There is truly no forum like Azine.

The car did awesome on the whole trip. Drove smooth, quiet, and didn't have any problems. I suddenly don't know how I did such long trips (550 miles each way) without adaptive cruise and lane keeping assist. Don't get me wrong I love driving, but the car damn near drove itself there. Fucking awesome.

I crossed 1000 miles on the way up, will probably hit 1800 total by the time I get home. Put a couple tanks thru the car and it averaged over 32mpg even with plenty of downtown Toronto city driving. I'm really glad I decided to give the car its first wash and wax (meguiars NXT) before the trip. I also received by leather nose mask, so it went on and the fit is amazing. So glad I decided to protect the front end for the trip. I may look into clear bra after this.

Here are the few pics I snapped!

I agree on the clear bra. I didn't put one on the Type S, but I did on the Stingray. I'll never go without again.

good call steven. with you bringing it to shows and stuff frequently the highway driving would destroy that front end.

^^^ Exactly, it really makes me wish I did it on both cars....I regret not doing it to the Type S.

With that being said, I only had the nose of the Corvette Xpelled. I don't know if you need any more than that-I've seen TL's with half-bras that look terrible....leaves a line across the middle of your hood.

I need to get my TL done badly, I gotta protect that fresh paint!

The lines from the film are more noticeable on darker cars which is why I'm a little bit hesitant and also its not a cheap thing to get done lol

I've resprayed like 3-4 cars due to rockchips. The first estimate I've received for the clear bra was about $700, and one fr $550 USD when I was in canada, but I didn't pull the trigger. I'l need to do some more research. If nothing else, I'l probably clear wrap a few items myself even if I dnt have the skill to do the whole front bumper. The door cups, trunklid area, and some other high impact areas would be nice to protect though.

yea man that wrap shit is hard to do. It can end up looking bad if not done properly. And about 7-1000 bucks for all those areas is about the norm.

And srsy J? That sucks man. rock chips drive me bananas

That is one skill that I've had to admit to myself that I do not posses...
I HATE wrapping.

but don't wraps eventually yellow?
you can respray the front bumper like 4 times at that cost!

but rock chips are not isolated to just the bumper. you get them on your mirrors, pillars, on the hood.

I refuse to highway drive my car until I can afford to get it protected lol seems crazy I know but painting cars isn't cheap.

And yes if you park your shit in the sun constantly it will yellow but the film technology has advanced

lmaooo @ springs...Ironically enough they say H&R sport springs are actually the best drop for the 9th gen accord. I am resisting the temptation really hard though.

Yeah, I'm not terrible at wrapping certain things, like trim pieces and stuff like that, but i couldn't do a whole bumper. It really is a skill that must be mastered...I did my own roof once on the DGP and it was a nightmare but it came out okay!

I still haven't even had a chance to clean the car. The nosemask is FILTHY, and so is the front grill and headights since they aren't protected. I kind of want to wrap the headlights to prevent hazing too.

I may leave off the clear bra, and use the nosemask for trips. I will wrap the headlights though, but first I need an excuse to remove the front bumper.

Congrats on the purchase.

4cyl......ah well......sometimes, you can't have everything! lol

That would absolutely annoy me about the wheels facing two different directions.......those would need replacing asap.

Glad to hear Toronto treated you well, you picked a good time to come up and enjoy some nice weather.

Enjoy the new car, and congrats on the sale as well.....maybe I missed it, but someone from AZ bought the TL-S?
