HDD issue?

Hey all,

Question on the HDD Audio on the 2014 SH Advance- the manual says it automatically copies all cds when inserted and played but I have played a few different cds and every time I press HDD as an audio souce it says no data... Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to do something to get it to copy? Or do I need to bring it in to Acura?

Aside from this potential issue the car is fantastic after the first 1000 miles!

Thanks in advance!

It will record CDs if the Customized Settings are set to AUTO. Yours must be set on MANUAL (although the default is AUTO). The previous owner must have changed the default.

The pathway is: SETTINGS MENU> AUDIO SETTINGS > CD/HDD > CD Mode > AUTO (to automatically record CDs) or MANUAL (to only record CDs when selected).

Also, the record to HDD is quick. You need not play the entire CD for it to be recorded to the HDD. Usually before the 1st song is played, the entire CD has been burned to the HDD.

beat me too it. Its fairly fast because the quality isn't the best. There are 2 settings Low or High. High is something like 190 bitrate - I don't recall exactly. I talked to Krell about this and they said that Acura decided independent from them about the bit rate. Disappointing in my mind.

AP8ESQ:
I think it would be a good idea for you to reset all settings to factory default, and start fresh. The dealer should have done this before delivering you the vehicle......
Either way we will gladly point you to the right direction, whenever you have a question:-). Steps to do this if you decide its a good idea:

Thanks for the help all. I was able to switch it over to auto and it has copied over both cds I had in today.
