1/4 mile times for my 05 RL on 19's NA before the SC
Took the car to the track two weeks ago forgot to post.
05 RL
PCD
J Pipe with high flow cat
68mm throttle body
3.5" intake with velocity stack
XL8R Crank pulley
Im on 19's and H&R springs
I tried a few different combos of launching.
14.9 at 96mph with a 1.8 60ft was my second and best run I was seeing 140deg f Intake Temps in the stage lane which was hurting the car. Reved it to 2100 and launched and shifted with the paddles.
Im going to move the IAT sensor into the intake pipe this week and try again before I install the SC

I am doing s comptech SC for the 04-08 TL
AEM FIC with custom jumper harness built by myself and I will tune the car .
I've been told that M62 blower on the j35 yields 2.5-3psi.
Last RL stock made 272whp at 3psi.
I'm hoping with my mods to hit the 300whp mark !

You should go to the website www.change2e85.com and purchase the kit for your car. It'll give you probably 40 to 50 wheel horsepower if your boosted. Anyways what is the unit and kit you're using for your car to supercharge it?

So he just bought the kit for the TL and put it on the RL? What kind of fabrication is involved in that? Please put up pictures of the install before during and after period I'm putting my E85 kit on when I do my supercharger because I want to have a base Dyno than a 85 Dyno and then a supercharged Dyno with and without the 85

Yeah it's going to be awesome. Once he responds and tells me how he's doing it I'm going to do it also and throw the TL supercharger on the RL. I'll send all kinds of pictures and stuff. Dino before and after with the stock gas versus the 85 upgrade. Then I'll Deuce 93 octane supercharged and E85 supercharged. I just need to know if the TL supercharger is a direct bolt-on for the RL or what has to be done LOL. I've got my finger on the comp Tech order form right now haha

The 04-08 kit will fit.
Same engine so the cam cap will line up and the belts are exactly the same. Only the .3L of displacment and extra flow of the heads lowers the Boost pressure on the stock pulley.
I get the kit thursday and will drop the motor out of the car and slap it on and show you guys what has to be modified.
Im not sure if we can run E85 in our cars due to there being possibly some rubber in our fuel system ? Not sure but im just running it on 91-93 thats all we have around here.
The max boost we will be able to get is 6psi due to the blower speeds of 14,000rpm. Ill see how the IAT are , im going to do meth but ill be happy at 300whp.
Our trannies should hold the power as in between shifts the ECU closes the Throttle while the tranny shifts gears.
Here is a silver RL in 2009 that was done and it made 272whp at 2.5-3psi all stock and zero tunning, im guessing the stock ecu has a small boost table in the maps ??

Yeah I'm really excited. I've been waiting to do this for a long time. I just love the supercharger whine. I'm going to need like a complete parts list and maybe a video if you can do it, of every custom modification you have to do to install it compared to an tl

No AWD DYNO? For as much research as you've done, I'm sure you know the SH-AWD doesn't like DYNOs and your numbers will likely be lower than what you get on pavement. The SC car you quoted had the driveshaft disconnected and was FWD DYNO'ed for accurate increase measurements.

I was just going to suggest that lol, us Acura boys aren't Ghetto haha, no dosconnecting that perfect SH-AWD system, it's just so beautiful ... I wonder if you can get an ECU where you can alter the power delivery ( like a subaru STI has )

I can't imagine how it is ghetto. It's not like you leave it like that. It reduces the variables that could impact the results. How is that ghetto?

The comptech kit only hides boost from the computer. Along with the rising rate fuel pressure regulator, the stock ECU can handle it. That's what I'm running, stock pulley I see 3.5psi.
I've been monitoring things using the torque app and I see IATs of 150*F. Coolant is also elevated and I think it's from radiant heat. I'm going to be grabbing some heat shielding and monitoring the differences.

You have the comptech on a RL with the 3.5?

you guise do know the RL shares its engine with the rest of the Acura line up????
gnuts has a CL....
thus why the other poster said a TL's CT supercharger can fit the RL....because every one of them shares the engine.

Like they said above I have a CL, I just sharing info since all comptech kits are basically the same.
Why do you have to pull the engine? I would suggest a battery relocation to the trunk while you do this.

I can assure you, there are no hidden maps to be unlocked with the stock ecu.

"hey bro, cool car!"
"thanks man"
"bro, we should hang out. because I like your car and not you."
"dude, lets go to the track!"
or you could always play pokemon. I'm sure like minded people are playing pokemon too! lol
of course, im just being dumb and playing out all these scenarios....

I was launching the car at 2100rpm . I was playing with the launch but the IAT were supper high and if you hold the rpm to high the ecu will shut you down and you have to wait to try it again . I was getting 1.8 60ft .
Here is what I picked up yesterday
