Has anyone tried to put the epoxy over the di-noc to get the shiny effect?
I clear coated my grille, it looks great. It makes the "contrast" in the 'cf' more noticeable as well as gives off a shine. I didn't want to do that to my bezel though, I like the matte finish it blends with the interior.
As for putting the rings on a 04 bezel, not gonna happen.
I was putting stuff away last night and realized I still have my stock bezel and enough dinoc to do it. I may dinoc my stock and sell it.
I made my own posts for the side with the custom holes. They are solid and work just fine.
The other side with the factory holes our base buttons have one different screw hole mounting point. So one side of the button screws in the other I just left unscrewed. I mean I never touch it anyway. But one could easily use some black rtv to make it a bit stronger.
Here I am thinking I have a cool project up my sleeve, only to find this was done several years ago. Dang... oh well. It’s 2019. Every project has been done at this point.
The reason that I want to swap the gauge bezel is because I also plan to wrap this in carbon fiber. The base gauge basil does not have silver rings, making it harder to get clean lines.
